I'm not even defending artists here, I'm just speaking for myself as someone who can usually pick out AI images and likes when they get a hand-drawn image in a search.If the artifice of AI could be eliminated then maybe I'd let it go but it ain't happened yet and there's a lot of facets that need to be smoothed over for it to be truly convincing. Right this second there's too many subjectivities that AI can't seem to overcome when it comes to generating art that no human touched beyond what they prompted.
