it's supposed to be a GUI IDE and then they shove some stupid DOS box in there because it probably lacks features and still requires the user to manually type command
in a real IDE such as visual studio you never need to use a DOS box

Qt Creator exists and has the backing of the Qt Company. If that didn't exist then KDevelop would probably get more attention.

kde is not popular contrary to what the people of this board believe.

KDE is the MacOS of Linux.

It's pretty KDE specific. I'd use it if I wanted a full IDE AND I was developing under KDE AND making an actual graphical application.
Most people just want code editors like VSCode or Kate though. Less to configure, more direct, more versatile.

Absolutely KYS. How is this post still up? How is this poster still breathing? No one this stupid deserves to be alive.

it used it on linux when I was a win7 refugee, but then I went back to windows 11 and I just use vscode and clion.
I think the main reason I dropped kdevelop is because it krashed once and the lost changes were not recovered (but my memory is fuzzy, I might be wrong about that).

He probably lives in the real world. That's how.
Freetroons like you have this weird idea that programming hasn't changed since we hand-cut assembly on Commodore 64s in the 1980s.
This is why you use Troonix in the first place: you don't actually do anything useful, so your operating system, development environment etc. choices reflect that.

You retarded babbling nigger. Nothing in the post below this text indicates that the anon in question is 'useful' or 'lives in the real world', and it certainly doesn't indicate that I'm the one with 'this weird idea'.

because Kde is like apple, in that they like to have a bunch of 'apps' to make it look like a real environment, but then never actually develop the apps past extremely basic functionality.
The fact that they're freetards makes it worse of course, at least apple's apps sort of work for some things sometimes.

Because good developers don't use IDEs.
>>
>>109003476
IDEs are useless.
