They recommended I instead replace the laptop (it was 2023 when I did this.) I said to hell with that and got a battery from iFixit. Installed successfully and the laptop still works in 2026.Prior to that I had a 2011 MBP and that one was far worse. Its onboard graphics failed twice due to improper heat mitigation. The first time, they replaced the entire logic board for free because it was on recall.
