I also put ublock and sponsorblock on my dads laptop and their family PC and top it all off by running a plex server so they can watch the shows they want on their TV. It's a lot less effort than it sounds and makes my life easier as well.

They are often not even paid for those ads they repeat 10 times in a row, even after you clicked "not interested, do not show again". It is done to spite you and persuade you that using youtube like this is impossible.Goggle done that to themselves. They demanded so much money for aids as a middleman, people started doing "sponsorship" to fund their channels. Which completely bypasses goggle.
