I just got utterly humiliated in my job interview for a position at AMD. Tell me something bearish about AMD so I can cope. What are the chances for AMD to suffer a complete collapse in the next decade? Does ARM have a chance of dominating the market so hard that it would completely erase x86 from existence?

>something bearish
they hire candidates through service companies as a sort of contractor position so they can cut those jobs without having to label it as layoffs
>chances... complete collapse
almost 100%
>arm...x86
no it doesn't

was completely different for me actually. I was recommended by a buddy via referral link. I wasn't expecting it would be an easy interview or anything but the process was very abnormal from start to finish. The hiring manager texted me on his personal phone on a Saturday morning asking to have a quick call then proceeded to ignore me until the following Monday, and then sends me another text another text with the worst possible grammar+spelling asking if I can talk to him at the end of the day. Had a quick "introduction" call and told me to prepare for a technical interview for the following week where he would assign someone else on his team for further screening. Next week got a guy who could barely speak english and did not actually do any real technical interview, we just reviewed my resume and experiences again then he said they'll get back to me. Absolute zero HR involvement or formal paper trail during this entire process. Now my buddy of ten years is ghosting and completely ignoring me probably because I made him look bad in front of his bosses or something. But I have no idea what I've done to warrant such a response, yeah you could say that my soft skills were probably shit but I've been nothing but polite and courteous during this entire process. I think I'm most just pissed that my buddy decided that this is worth ending a ten year friendship over, because I didn't look good in front of his bosses.

Are you sure you're not being scammed? Have you seen your friend alive in person lately? Did you catch the interviewer names enough to check if LinkedIn profiles exist for them?
