Why does linux desktop environment and user interface for linux applications still fucking suck so much?I use KDE and it CRASHES all the time. Dolphin cannot render in the thumbnails for images and is slow as fuck. Gwenview cannot open and play GIFS, it just decides to crash. On Windows LTSC (for the same computer) the file manager works flawlessly and I have no such issues.
>>109015751Linux is not for desktop. Never will be.
>>109015751>Why does linux fucking sucks so much?>I use KDEYou answered it by yourself.KDE is for "krashing desktop environment". Use xfce.
>>109015816xfce doesnt have thumbnails in file picker. I thought KDE would give a more standardised UI because I only used Qt applications.
>>109015774Then how did Google pull it off?
>>109015751>why does [insert thing that never happened to me] dominate my thoughts?Interesting question. Only your therapist can help you answer it thoughbeit.

>>109015840FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU LINUX-FANATICS. IVE USED THIS PIECE OF SHIT FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND ITS SHIT
>>109015848>ITS SHIT>IVE USED THIS FOR SEVERAL YEARSDoesn't check out. If it's shit, then you would not have used it for years. If you have used it for years, then it is not shit. For instance, when I "upgraded" to Windows 10, I used it for less than 24 hours, because it was actually shit. Thank God I was already dual booting back then, so ditching the increasingly niggerific MS horror show was a piece of cake. This begs the question: Why would anyone choose to use something that is shit for years? Unless you were being paid to do so, the whole scenario just doesn't make sense. In conclusion, you are either lying, or a delusional faggot./thread
>>109015751I use LXQt and it crashes never. The file manager renders thumbnails for images just fine.
>>109015846i know a (different obviously) indian guy who likes KDE.
>>109015837By making a extremely cheap computer to undercut the "education laptop" market.Ask any kid who used these if they want to actually use chrome OS.
>>109015751I never have any of these problems because I don't use Gnome or KDE, use simple and good software, instead of jeetware and troonware. If you want a DE XFCE is the best outthere, and use something LTS of Debian stable that's like a rock and will never break.
