can't believe i wasted my precious youth learning stupid programming languages just for every normie that never touched actual keyboard be able to do the same thing as me

why normies just keep winning? their entire life is non stop fun and they dont even need to do anything they just win everytime

I never wasted learning past scripting desu. I took classes in C++ and Java, and even immediate to advanced ones, but I cant code without reference to overstack or atleast documentation. From head, all I can do is script.

whats the difference between scripting and coding?

damn, sucks to be you, OP.

Idk, using a compiler mostly. I just hated dealing with all the imports, and syntax differences and different naming conventions for every other language. It annoyed me and made me think it was so pedantic to deal with, when the actual logic flow and what you were trying to make was more important. Also OOP confused the shit out of me, however after several personal script based programs grew way out of size, and later impossible to change or modify, I understand why its significance now. Still i dont get it. Im glad thats over now desu. Its like relearning how to speak over and over instead of using your words to actually speak. AI has made it a translation problem, solved.

ok because I got hella confused. So basically you learned like python or something and got used to the package manager and syntax and couldn't be arsed to learn a compiled language but at the end of the day scripting is just coding

No, i started with C++ intro, then did Java intro and Java intermediate and did some more advanced concepts class but think it was just Java too, mostly OOP. But I prefer scripts, because its just commands you would run in terminal with logical components. I hate dealing with all the nuances of langauges, but love the coding flow when your trying to get a thing to work.
