There's a video on LTT about a new dumb TV but I honestly cannot watch it because it is video footage of a 50 year old man with teenager lime green braces with a backwards hat and a really weird hoodie that says 404 error in like paint marker font and it is just incredibly distressing like watching a man's folley on film.

I don't have experience with every brand but if you do that with a recent Samsung it will literally just turn into a dumb TV. Connect an android tv box with LineageOS (no gapps) on it and you have a private, bloat free experience.
TCL has smart TV with Android. They are supposed to work without account. Just connect it once to get one update and then discontent it from the net. Just hook up a 200 $ TV box to it. There are several to chose from.
