What are some great tv's with great value for watching movies and iptv and decent port selection to connect to a device for iptv, not including the telemetry spyware?

>not including the telemetry spyware
zero, there is no television on the market that doesn't explicitly force you to agree to permanent surveillance before you're allowed to use it
>great tv
zero
OLED is unreasonably fragile to the point of being uncleanable, very expensive and will 100% have clearly visible burn-in over huge portions of the panel within 12 months, no matter what the coping retards say, this is true
it is obviously the best display technology that exists, if you can afford to buy a new one every two years, we've been through five cycles of people saying "its better now," it isn't, it's literally just as bad as it has ever been
>great value
higher tier ~80in TCL VN panels
VN is great for colors, blacks, contrast, gets brighter than OLED, brighter than you would ever want it to be, will likely last 5-10 years with practically no degradation in quality regardless of use cases
black smearing is its downside, and it is a big downside in some situations, not really in movies, is susceptible to manufacturing defects like dirty screen/panel creasing, etc.
regardless of budget or room size, i would not get a tv over 85 inches, your brain will do perspective things and will make it look smaller than it is, just like it made small tvs look bigger than they were when you were young

There's a video on LTT about a new dumb TV but I honestly cannot watch it because it is video footage of a 50 year old man with teenager lime green braces with a backwards hat and a really weird hoodie that says 404 error in like paint marker font and it is just incredibly distressing like watching a man's folley on film.

get one with google tv software and install a custom launcher, ez
>>
>>109027302
you have to be retarded to buy a dumb TV instead of not connecting a smart TV online.
>>
>>109028524
This. I never understood how people are incapable of just not connecting their tv on setup. I don't have experience with every brand but if you do that with a recent Samsung it will literally just turn into a dumb TV. Connect an android tv box with LineageOS (no gapps) on it and you have a private, bloat free experience.
>>
TCL has smart TV with Android. They are supposed to work without account. Just connect it once to get one update and then discontent it from the net. Just hook up a 200 $ TV box to it. There are several to chose from.

To make 80" work you need a very deep room. Normally 55" or 65" should be the choice.

TVs get software updates, so it’s a good idea to either connect to the internet via wifi or Ethernet to get the updates whenever one is available. You can also update your TV via usb.
>>
>>109027115
Just get an amazon fire stick, maybe an Ethernet adaptor for it and you're good to go. For some reason they haven't cracked down on IPTV feeds on their devices for literal years and you can stick a VPN on it just fine too.
I'm sure there are a lot of other sticks out there, but the chief advice is of course to never let your TV itself connect to the internet ever for any reason.

>>109032195
what kind of dumb retard ape fucking faggot needs a software update for their TV?
Genuinely kill yourself
>>
>>109032471
Sometimes they make improvements and fix problems.
>>
>>109032195
You should stop updating after they released the successor. They don't have any incentives to make it better then.
>>
>>109032506
Sometimes they just make it worse to sell you new product. Seen it many times with FireTV.

Maybe, but if they provide a changelog it’s worth checking if it’s worth updating for some specific reason.
