I'm gonna kill myself.
takeown /r or some shit. I can't remember the details other than that windows doesnt really have the equivalent of DAC_OVERRIDE but you should have a privilege that lets you fuck with the ACLs or ownership anyway. BUILTIN\Administrator can also technically be cucked in a sense, believe it or not. also, Windows 10 is out of support.
>>109034438>also, Windows 10 is out of support.I'm aware of that. But I refuse to upgrade to Windows 10. I already froze updates on my PC already but I figure if it's for the sake of driver installation I can at least use the last version.
>I'm almost tempted to learn Linux just so I never have to deal with Microsoft ever againJust do it. Remember, the shit you are currently dealing with is the supposed perfect operating system according to the people who complain about Linux being a tinkering OS that breaks all the time.
Windows 10 LTSC isn't unsupported yet, you can actually get continued updates by running LTSC via massgrave.
Something I noticed is, when I download the windows 10 version, it seems like the file says Windows 11.At least I assume that's what Win11 means, and this is from the AMD website.
>>109034425>0x80070103>no more data is available >installer just emits the error string without detailsLooks like slop. I don't remember what this shit code means. I think it's usually associated with protocol mismatch, like getting http when you expect tls (https).
>>109034522I downloaded the next most recent version and got this error.Which is the error I got when I installed it the first time.Honestly I should've just ignored it seeing how I disabled windows updates completely.
>>109034399enable updates
>>109034438LTSC iot has support until 2032 tranny
>>109034399anon this is 2026. installing linux is easy as fuck. go do it.
I did a system restore so I could get my old drivers back, since I can't install new ones, and in the process of trying the old ones got deleted. It's been hours, and I'm tired of messing with it.>>109034666But I don't know how to code, Satan.
>>109034735you do not need to know code for into linux.
>>109034660Hi, author of the post I’m replying to. I love trannies. So much so, and minorities too, that I’m willing to post a picture of my hand! I LOOOOVEEEE trans niggas. It’s ALL I think about.
>>109034735Current windows updates break amd drivers. Use DDU in safe mode with no networking, unplug Ethernet, boot and install driver, reboot, finally replug Ethernet. You’re welcome I just dealt with this retarded shit.
>>109034752Pretty sure I tried all that except for fully disconnecting from the Internet.
>>109034756I did the same. It wasn’t until I was fully disconnected that windows stopped auto raping my amd driver.
>>109034735I haven't written a line of code in my life and I have used linux for 17 years
>>109034399yeah for windows I pretty much install it, install all the software I plan on using for 10 years and get the system as rock solid as possible then just cut the bitch off MS servers and never update until the next version comes out, which I will install on a completely separate drive so my old install is still stable and available. Not interested in having a personal modlist of a game or all my custom tweaks and changes reverted through one shitty untested forced update.
>>109034750K
>>109034764Hopefully you'll get it up and running soon, then!
>>109034747But Anon...I'm too stupid for Linux>>109034772>Not interested in having a personal modlist of a game or all my custom tweaks and changes reverted through one shitty untested forced update. You can usually force Steam to download an older version and have it stay like that.
I did do some thinking though earlier today, about what I installed before my PC started randomly crashing.Last big thing I can think of was this, thank God I'm almost done with my New Vegas playthrough so I can uninstall it soon.Could also just be that my harddrive is from 2014 too, I don't know.
>>109034399>First thing every site says to do is update driversWindows support forums and help sites are awful. That's not an actual answer it's a generic, "Turn it off and back on again" response. Next you'll be told to reinstall the entire OS. Not because whoever suggested that thinks it's an actual answer but because they suggest that for fucking everything.
