How do I make software as frustrating to use as possible? Serious question. My company is trying to cultivate grief in the general population (it's a weird and complicated story).

Enable a bunch of stupid shit then provide an easy button on the page to turn it off. When people turn it off leave a gay little message like, "Got it. You're in control" or "We've adjusted your experience. Your feedback is important to us". Make the button only turn it off for that page so the next time they come back it appears again.Alternatively make the button turn it off for good but enable a popup behind the scenes. One in every 5 times they load the page popup with a gay little animation showing a finger tapping a button to enable the stupid thing again. Make sure the popup enables the button by default so users have to manually tap it to turn it back off. Make the popup linger for 5 seconds with just "Understood." after they turn the thing off and hit confirm.

>>109036051You have to give people a reason to use your software firstIf it's just shit people won't use it at all
