>>109047955tuning and your preferences are more relevant factors than how much you spend. cadenza2 is a good generalist pick so they'll work fine. people who like those genres tend to prefer warmer sets though, whereas cadenza2 has specific tuning that suppresses midbass ~200hz.
A friend gave me two new iems to try, they're interesting enough so might as well make a post about em.>NiSO Audio Venus 339 Pro339 Pro's the one with the starry sky faceplate. Priced around $4k.U-shape but with a pinna gain emphasis. Lean-sounding lower-mids, whiny/honky upper-mids. Decent subbass but midbass is lacking in quantity. Some hints of dynamics but just the bare minimum. Treble is slightly grainy and glassy, and subpar staging with an emphasis on the vocals. Midrange separation is poor despite the lean-mids - it still manages to sound muddy/veiled. Closest chifi equivalent would probably be the Dunu DK3001BD (albeit with more upper mids).>NiSO Audio Bosnia (unreleased)Bosnia's the one with the blonde lady on the faceplate and transparent shell. Unreleased flagship, priced around $6k.Compared to the 339 Pro, the Bosnia is more V-shaped: mids are more filled-in, and pinna isn't as aggressive (but still boosted relative to other sets). Bosnia loses the subbass so it sounds less dynamic and softer-sounding despite the thicker mids. Treble is smoother and more extended, but there's still hints of glassiness. The "veiled" issue is also no longer present, mids resolution and separation on the Bosnia is significantly better. Using narrow-bore tips further remedied the tonality of the mids, now it has noteweight comparable to the Omnium Ti/Asteria. Compared to the Storm, Bosnia is fuller sounding, but Bosnia also has an earlier pinna rise so string/wind instruments sound more "honky". I think Bosnia is the more interesting set - it basically fixes all the flaws of the 339 but still retains that tasteful vocal coloration. I don't mind the soft dynamics either because it helps to showcase the mids.

But if you reboot your PC it will be stuck playing static until you unplug and replug it. Still extremely sensitive to LTE activity, like all his previous dongles. And with some drivers installed you'll get double logarithmic volume scale with absolute nothing happening at 0-50 but goes extremely loud from 50 to 60. Deleting the driver fixes it. tsmr x003 is my personal favourite setting, adds enough bass body and keeps everything else more airy and 'neutral', somewhat bright but not sibilant. 000 is too sterile, 100, 103 & 123 have too much bass, 023 is kinda muddy and all over the place, forehead scrunching for my personal taste.spatiality and separation is actually good. tsmr x bro said separation was mid so i went ahead and tried shoegaze and i could keep up and determine each layer. soundstage is like within arms' reach, sure, but imaging isnt half bad. iems dont have soundstage anyway. comfort is surprisingly good, even with the stubby nozzle; tri clarion medium tips, always worked well for thicker, stubby nozzles for me. comfort is really good, though im not using the cables it came with. the earpieces are pretty light. i mean, it's actually really good, no regrets about it. but in this day and age, there are better pos for cheaper (dont ask me what), if you just want a good pos, there's tons to choose from. but for a collector, it's sort of unique enough that it deserves being part of a collection.btw, if anyone has a fearless y2k they wanna part with for a fraction of the price (like 1/10th) give me a call.
>>109057918A company that never made a good IEM did it again.
>>109057491wrapping it around my ear helped but I feel kind of silly, if I used a bent connector cable intended for iems it would probably feel better around my ear. the price is absurd for what you get but I try not to think about the price of things anymore..
