I think its very silly that the feds are forcing me to use a *less secure* encryption. I just follow procedures though, not getting my ass raped in a federal prison by being FIPS compliant is a greater incentive than caring more about their data and using something that I *deem* to be a better encryption mechanism.

No, because there are an assload of other exploits, some of which are undisclosed. Bitlocker is backdoored to hell and back. Should be disabled on every Windows install.
