Why are hackers mostly evil? It's usually reported that they attack Children's Hospitals and schools, and facilities that tend elderly programs but you never hear them attack actual evil institutes like Blackrock
>>

The lone wolf viligante hacker is a retarded movie trope. Serious hacking is only possible with the funds and manpower of a government or company. The interests of such institutions rarely align with what most would consider "good", especially if they're breaking laws to achieve their goals
>>
>>109047491
Do competing companies attack other companies with cyber attacks?
>>
>>109047365
Current "hackers" are motivated by money because they live in shitholes with little to no law enforcement
>>
>>109047542
So that's how they're able to get away with attacks?
>>
>>109047599
Only consumer businesses can get wrapped up in lawsuits and legal battles. Hospitals and other places can't really afford to shut down for extended periods.
>>
>>109047365
Because good news about good people doing good job don't sell.
White hat hackers exist, but you'll not hear about them unless it's something really huge or you'll see their work with your own eyes.

The Koyuki Accident in Blue Archive was just that: One concerned guy noticed that CDN server connected to that game was hilariously unprotected and decided to show it by filling people's cafes with Koyuki, putting link to youtube shitpost in news and leaving for BA devs message on server that he has more bugs and they can contact him via email. Immediately after that Nexon started taking security more seriously and even established bounty system for cases like this.

>Why are hackers mostly portrayed as evil?
FTFY
>>

>It's usually reported that they attack Children's Hospitals and schools, and facilities that tend elderly programs
What the fuck are you talking about?
>>
>>109047365
Because frankly the evil institutions are harder targets and way, way more likely to retaliate
If you don't really have a strong agenda or give a fuck about morals and are just in it for the financial gain, scamming the elderly or ransomwaring some mom&pop business is infinitely easier and safer
>>
>>109047599
Pretty much. Many countries straight up won't prosecute computer crime against a foreign entity, and many more don't have the resources to do so effectively even if they wanted to
>>
>>109047365
>Why are hackers mostly evil?
Very few hackers are.
>It's usually reported
Here's your problem, you believe the news. You must understand that the news are totally fake, just a brainwashing program.
>they attack Children's Hospitals and schools
No, this is the USA army's job.
>>
>>109047365
i wish there were good guy hackers whose only objective was to destroy as much as possible
they would be real heroes
but they will never happen
>>
>>109047365
There are many reasons but also 99% of good hackers are more incentivized to be white-hat. Media wont report on white hat hacking because it's a legitimate every day business. Imagine,
>White hat hacker successfully finds no cybersecurity vulnerabilities in Lenny's Cola company. But it turns out Russel from accounting didn't follow protocol and leaked our wifi password! Invoice sent.
>>
>>109047365
not sure, but I guess most of these attacks you mention are fake securitard propaganda, and probably just some boomer installing garbage on the hospital pc or whatever.
how would they hack blackrock if it's not a single server but mutiple entities working together that are probably not even connected to a single network
>>
>>109047923
if some day it happens, it would be falseflag planned by the masons themselves, to accelerate the new world order, otherwise yeah, it's heavily unlikely

>why does mass media owned by ecorp not report truthfully on the people attacking them?
Anon... I...
>>
>>109047365
why was the CCP guy a faggot? They don't let faggots have any power.
>>
>>109048465
>They don't let faggots have any power.
Yeah that's why China disavowed him in the series when it became "public knowledge" that he's a faggot that likes to dress up in his clock room.
