Let's talk about good tablets for reading comics.

My good old tablet is dying, a side of its screen has started to flicker for weeks. Well, it's from 2014, time to let it go I guess.
But with that chip shortage fuckery, and search engines that give only incoherent results, it's a pain to find one.

Are there good tablets still available right now?
What models do you know?

Required:
- 4:3 or 7:5 ratio screen. No widescreen.
- a microSD slot

What size do you think is best for comics?
Mine (iFive Mini 3) was a 7.85'', visually a clone of the first iPad Mini. I'd like a bigger one, but they are 11~13'', isn't that too big? Do you use a 11''? I feel like ~9'' would have been better but it doesn't exist.

Here are the only models I found:

Bmax I12 Power
https://www.bmaxit.com/MaxPad-I12-Power-6GB-128GB-pd572955058.html
Good specs, good screen, but apparently not available anymore.

Alldocube X Pad
https://www.alldocube.com/en/products/xpad/
Good specs, but apparently not available anymore.

Teclast Artpad Pro
https://en.teclast.com/Art/ArtPad%20Pro
This one is still available, but it's bigger and heavier than the others.

Huion Kamvas Slate 13
Isn't it just the Teclast Artpad Pro with a different name and more expensive?

Bmax MaxPad I8
https://www.bmaxit.com/MaxPad-I8-pd558586768.html
This one is basically a new version of my iFive Mini 3, same size, very lightweight. But how much did they sacrifice the quality of the components to reach that low price? Also I may prefer something a little bigger.

OnePlus / Oppo / Vivo don't seem to have a microSD slot.

Do you know other models?

iPad is the best by far.

There are 8.8 or 9 inch tablets, I bought one for vidyagaemz, it is just about 1:1 for manga one page at a time, you'd need about a 13 incher for reading pages side by side I think? Western piggu comics are normally a bit bigger, are they not? Are they about a4 size? I think that is about a 12.5 inch screen or so?

No microSD, $200 more if you want a version with more storage, no thanks. Also, I don't like the gesture thing on iPads, Android leaves the option to have old school back and home buttons instead.

But they're 16:9, aren't they?
Some modern mangas and comics are sometimes in 16:9 indeed, but I read mostly old ones and european ones, they're all in 4:3.
I read only one page at a time. European comics are bigger, I read them zoomed in horizontal mode, top half then bottom half of the page, else the texts are too small on my 7.85''.

I'm adding to the list the older OnePlus Pad Go, it's still available and it has a micro SD slot (the new version seems to not have one anymore). Its specs and price are totally identical to the Bmax l12, except OxygenOS 13.2 instead of Android 15.
