Yeah but sometimes the prices are too good to beat. I got a couple old chromebooks for $18 each, one only had some lint packed in the charge port and worked fine after I cleaned it and the other had a dead battery.
Now the problem is I wanted to be cheap so I bought a used battery from some other asshole for 12 bucks and that one showed up dead too. Fucker stopped responding to me after I asked for a replacement, so I bought a new battery off amazon for $33.
Not ideal overall but I got two test machines for about $40/per, which is like 10 under the cost of similar refurbs sold on amazon.

I actually almost got fucked by a seller and ebay today. The tracking info I was sent was a random ass package that did not match the weight/size of what I purchased and it wasn't even sent to my address. I got an automatic denial when I requested a refund with the reason being a tracking number was provided. I took screenshots and explained how this couldn't possibly be what I ordered and Patel put the refund through.

I sell stuff on ebay all the time. There are some shit sellers but also plenty of people who actually try to provide decent service. The way I see it, if I buy a thing for a dollar and put it up for $75, the least I can do is actually clean/test it and package it well.

I think some sellers try to scale up their business endlessly while still running it solo, so things that take time like cleaning and careful packaging have to be minimized. I just manage it by not selling cheap garbage that wastes my time.
