Do you realize how fucking retarded you are for buying from a stranger
>>109050419Like Amazon?
>>109050419(((oy vey, don't buy from fellow goyim, buy chink shit from corporations and LLCs)))
>>109050419Yeah but sometimes the prices are too good to beat. I got a couple old chromebooks for $18 each, one only had some lint packed in the charge port and worked fine after I cleaned it and the other had a dead battery. Now the problem is I wanted to be cheap so I bought a used battery from some other asshole for 12 bucks and that one showed up dead too. Fucker stopped responding to me after I asked for a replacement, so I bought a new battery off amazon for $33.Not ideal overall but I got two test machines for about $40/per, which is like 10 under the cost of similar refurbs sold on amazon.
bought from plenty of strangers and never had an issue, maybe don't buy stuff from shit sellers
>>109050419Since when did ebay have a landing page of just its logo?
>>109050419I mean, yeah, it's retarded, but we've been corralled into big cities. It could work to know your sellers in small towns.
>>109050419Do you personally know your grocery wench? Your fast food wagie? Your pharmaceutical shill? Your electrical grid slave? No? Stupid thread for baka idiots.
>>109050419I actually almost got fucked by a seller and ebay today. The tracking info I was sent was a random ass package that did not match the weight/size of what I purchased and it wasn't even sent to my address. I got an automatic denial when I requested a refund with the reason being a tracking number was provided. I took screenshots and explained how this couldn't possibly be what I ordered and Patel put the refund through.
>>109050419I buy everything from strangers. Do you think I'm personal friends with the owner of my local grocery store? Or the Indian that owns all the convenient stores in a 50 mile radius? Or whoever runs the water company?
>>109050419Well do tell me then.
>>109050471>bought from plenty of strangers and never had an issue, maybe don't buy stuff from shit sellerssame. I've bought a bunch of random collectable shit and I'm paranoid about getting scammed so I even hae one of those fucking jew loops to check everything is legit and it always is. ON THE OTHER HAND whenever I buy something on fucking facebook market place I just get fucking jewed. fuck facebook market place its always some indian running a scam. last two I wasted my time on where my a cheap iphone my girlfriend wanted... just fucking obviously a fake chinese phone, then a bunch of fucking cars I went to were rebuilt title status. literally these cars were falling apart in person and in accidents but advertised as "almost new and low mileage."
>>109050419Jesus Christ. I hate this stupid fucking site. I would crack your skull open you stupid fucking faggot.
Just bought a Sony DCR-TRV350 from there. It's been working fine for me ever since. I even got a nice case bundled with it that they didn't even advertise for. Sounds like you just have shit luck
>>109050419Im literally too poor to afford pants.
>>109050419ebay fucking sucks nowadaysfull of chinkshit dropshippers and resellers with ever decreasing amount of auctions
>>109050419thanks I wanna go buy some shit on ebay now
>>109051405>order mailing labels off eBay>seller drop ships from Amazon>go to Amazon the next time>actually costs more that way
>>109050467>saved 10 bux to waste a bunch of timeso not worth it at all?
>ebaylil bro thinks its 2005 fr
>>109051410I scrolled ebay for like 25 minutes and couldn't find anything I can't live withoutamazon won
>>109050419if you are going to fucking say "submit offer" DONT FUCKING DENY ALL THE FUCK OFFERS FAGGOT! Seriously if you set an offer to be $5 or someshit off don't even fucking bother you fucking faggot. I swear I hate fucking hate these seller faggots. I'll submit offers where they'll pay the fucking ship cost so i dont have to and they will STILL DENY it. Fuck them.
>>109051405the auctions are shit anyway. I usually just buy it now if its something I want and its cheap enough. Also bot buys so auctions are kind of fucked anyway.
>>109050419Nope. Check the feedback ratings and longevity of the account. Anything above 98% is good with me.
>>109050419I miss when you could get bargains. Now everyone knows the current scalper price and refuses to budge for anything less.
>>109050419the stranger:
I live in a high trust society

I fucking hate it. hate it
>STRANGER! STRANGER! STRANGER! stop being a woman
>>109054336forgot>doesn't list protections (over and undervoltage, overcurrent, overcharge, over-temperature). probably doesn't even have any of those sthings in the first place
>>109053557Im a seller and it used to be low fees. Now if I sell something its>ebay sales fee>shipping fee>tariff fees>subtotal tax fees>tax fees again for all the above>post office hits me with a fuel surcharge fee that isn't included in their regular calculationI sell something for $20 + $15 shipping and expect $10 back.
>>109050419should I go on a date with them before buying something?
>>109050419As opposed to buying from friends?
>>109050419what?
>you get to evade sales taxes, less money for isreal>you can sleep easy knowing you aren't enabling companies for anti consumer practices>you get a massive discount for used items that are usually restored to near pristine conditionBased.
>>109051802Came here to post this
>>109050419hedgie stay mad
i >bought from a strangerand it didn't come with everything i neededi ended up having to buy the missing parts from the manufacturer, and waited an additional week for it to come in
I've had very few things go wrong with eBay so who are you trying to convince here?
>>109050419>people you already know have every single thing you'd ever want to buy off someone
>>109051131why do you keep buying from profiles named like "Jurwallet Rapevishnu"
>>109050419>Do you realize how fucking retarded you areNo, I'm too stupid for that.
>>109051398I travelled 50km + return trip this year to pick up 20 pears of work pants for 120 EUR + train ticket, I can't afford pants from a store either.
>>109055335>pearstiresome sometimes to use anglo media as a germ
I sell stuff on ebay all the time. There are some shit sellers but also plenty of people who actually try to provide decent service. The way I see it, if I buy a thing for a dollar and put it up for $75, the least I can do is actually clean/test it and package it well.the real shitters are the ones who take items they know are broken and list them as "untested"
>>109055387I bought shit listed as broken that ended up working just fine
>>109055387It's weird that basic respect for others is apparently a fuckin' noteworthy mention. What ever happened to putting yourself in someone else's shoes and acting accordingly? I always thought the most basic ettiqute was to clean and neatly package what you're selling, but I've absolutely bought shit that's arrived mingin and clanking around the fucking box.
>>109050419OP thinks he's smart despite his subpar IQ
>>109050419Hey Jeff, how's the rebuild of the launchpad coming along?
>>109055420I think some sellers try to scale up their business endlessly while still running it solo, so things that take time like cleaning and careful packaging have to be minimized. I just manage it by not selling cheap garbage that wastes my time. The worst bit for me is I sell a decent amount of rare manga while also collecting it, so I ship stuff out packaged really nice while anything I buy from Half Price Books etc shows up dented to shit in a plastic sleeve with zero padding
>>109055387>the real shitters are the ones who take items they know are broken and list them as "untested"this has been half of my experiences trading with brownoids, I avoid trading with them as a consequence.
>>109055420>I always thought the most basic ettiqute was to clean and neatly package what you're sellingNot if you're brown, apparently. Brown listings are usually pretty easy to spot at least. Lazy/AI description, bad photography and items in dirty/dusty condition while described as 'like new' are usually dead giveaways.
>>109055420I do this sometimes but only if I'm busy AND giving it away for free bc I can't be bothered to deal with thing at all
>>109050419Do you realize how gay you are for having sex with women in their vaginas
>>109055420Don't forget not disclosing when an item has been exposed to cigarette smoke, I open the package just to find that the part I wanted to add to my collection smells like someone was putting lit cigarettes in the fan grill of the PC it came from.
none of these arguments hold water the second you bring up how killing yoursslf immediately is the most efficient action anyone can ever doyou are going to die one day, within the next 100 years guaranteed 100%, any argument about "you didn't make the most efficient or correct choice" is moot when literally you are fucking dead one day and you'll never be like idk, elon musk rich and have the money to buy exactly everything basically you are fucking stupid and just hate to see other people happy
>>109051802Granted it was a gamble, but I could have saved $32 each if the first seller had been cool, and $26 each if the second seller had been.Mind this was on e-waste grade machines I bought specifically to use as experimenting/learning tools, so the time "wasted" getting them functional is a feature, not a bug.I am lightly salty about the battery cost, though.
>>109050419I've looked into user-to-user "trading" platforms, such as r/hardwareswap, but I've only gotten scam attempts thus far. I don't know how other people bother to manage with that shit. Their attempts are actually rather amusing, and sometimes ingenious. One concern that has come to mind recently when buying secondhand electronics, is that the previous owner may have ejaculated on it for whatever reason. Anything bought secondhand MUST be thoroughly wiped down. I dare not shine a black light on anything.
>>109054626>>you get to evade sales taxes, less money for isrealYou have to fill out a 1099K eventually if you're a seller, and you first have to hand over your SSN/ITIN, or apply for an EIN before you can withdraw any funds. >you can sleep easy knowing you aren't enabling companies for anti consumer practicesInstead you get individuals (occasionally) fucking each other over. >you get a massive discount for used items that are usually restored to near pristine conditionIf you buy anything "refurbished", you're a moron. >>109058251>mootWho?
>>109050419I bought a $600 5090 once. They never shipped it.
>>109058557>I tried to scam somebody and it didn't workhuh.
