Is it possible to know whether you have a virus on your PC without any symptoms whatsoever? None of my online accounts get hacked, so I doubt any of my passwords got leaked, I just downloaded so much shit over the years I wonder if at least one thing was contaminated
>>
you can reinstall windows and have zero viruses

Monitor your network traffic.

Windows probably has different malware in the supply chain

In the Windows XP days, I'm sure my PC was once infected by some virus or malware, which the only symptom was high and unusual network traffic. Maybe it became part of some botnet
I installed and ran multiple AVs, antimalware tools and even specific detection tools, and none of them detected anything unusual, not even heuristics. But a reformat and reinstalling Windows fixed the issue.

The majority of malware today is targeted at high value targets and lays dormant or even uninstalls itself if you are not above a threshold.
Companies are pretty good about keeping retards safe from most stuff, but they won't stop you from running bad torrents or coolsong.wav.exe

do you have any specific tools in mind? task manager doesnt show any substantial amount of data being sent, just a few kb here and there if im idle, but that could be literally anything right

Honestly, just check if your email and password have been leaked. For most normies thats good enough. If you're a programmer or crypto bro you'll know right away because your crypto accounts will be drained or your github activity will have random commits.

There are lots of programs that can monitor internet traffic.
Nowadays I mainly use Wireshark but there are plenty others
Back then I don't even remember what I used.

This is true. Back when I suspected my PC had something, Windows XP was a lot less chatty.

I routinely download shit from dubious sources like the million piratebay mirrors and all sorts of pirated software sources. Literally never had any issues, my bank account uses 2FA, I never got hacked as in someone gained access to my shit whether the bank or services I use and did something. Never once in my life and I've been doing it for 30 years. I do excercise a modicum of caution and don't download from very obvious malware sites.

I think at most I was in botnets but not that i'd know specifically.

what are the signs of being in a botnet
>>
>>109050610
install an end point system and it'll tell you everything

Satanic trips denotes truth.

Yeah monitor your network traffic. Look for programs in the registry you don't remember installing, same goes for services and the task schedule library. Looking in the task manager itself probably helps if the malware dev cbf doing process injection. Probs easier to dodge anti-virus by not doing that and just calling your shit "rly_important_microsoft_bullshit" or w/e.

Your computer fans spinning up randomly.
A great heatwave coming from the source.
