After spending a few months in Shenzhen, I don't understand why the West is falling so far behind China's tech ecosystem. In Shenzhen, I can order anything and have it delivered by drone to a dropoff point pretty much immediately. Why isn't this available in US cities? It makes no sense to me. There's so much fucking money lying on the ground for anyone who just copies Chinese tech in the West.

Implying you'll wont magically be regulated out.

Its the new host for the parasite, or at least it thinks it is as they revenge the opium wars
>>
>nearby pod

Americans live a minimum of 50' from each other (vs being packed in like chickens as you see in gyna). As such, these things would be a minimum of a 15 min drive for the average american. This also presupposes they can afford to consoom and that they are ambulatory enough to get to their card.

>drone
>why not in US?
The tl;dr is "there's a bunch of reasons"
You can't operate a drone in the U.S. BVLOS (beyond visual line of sight). The drone must be under unaided visual observation by the pilot in command at all times.
You can't operate a commercial drone over people that aren't aware.
You can't operate a drone over roads.
If you operate a drone that can impart a specific amount of kinetic energy if it crashes, you need special mitigation strategies.
There's a TON of "you can't" with commercial drones.
You can get a BVLOS waiver if you can show you have airspace de-confliction / mitigation. That's typically some sort of radar coverage. That gets really expensive really fast.
You also need a way to mitigate drone falling out of the sky (usually w/ a parachute attachment).
t. spent last week on roofs in places un-fucking radars for world cup

Because they'd have to drone the product in from china, and that would take a while.
Think about it for a second.

It's because the West has for decades spent all of its resources on Empire instead of domestic productivity.

why do you want loud drones in your area? There is zero need for a instant delivery just wait or better yet walk to the store.
>>
>>109050844
Niggers would steal or destroy the drone within 24 hours

It's not economically viable to stock 'everything' in western countries, customers are too poor and you end up writing off shitloads of stock.

It works in china because it's all made there.

the meituan food delivery drone kiosk in shenzhen talent park is not normal, it's not like you can have this service everywhere in china. it's a tech demo to impress gweilo like you.

If America copies anything Chinese their whole propaganda narrative of "we innovate and they only copy" falls apart. So if China invents something, America is forced to do the opposite.

>>109050844
The economy in the West isn't incentivized to make anything useful. It's all bullshit scams like crypto, blockchain, le cloud, AI and buying up all the houses (something that does literally nothing). It's all about squeezing money out of victims instead of making something of value.

Can't do that with a drone and Chinese bugmen don't even use cash when they buy a snack at a food stall

I used to do delivieries (small to mid size parcels) in a big city. The volumes are crazy. It's cheaper and faster to pack a truck with hundreds of parcels at a distribution center and then drive to the delivery area and have them delivered there than fly a drove to/from distributiom center to deliver each parcel

Yep, it's pretty fucking obvious that China is winning by now.

Mythos is our last shot. Either, we use it to rule the world, or we wait until China catches up and they do it instead. Hopefully the US Gov't picks up on this and forces Anthropic to comply or we're all fucking done. Or OAI release 5.6 or even 6.0 and it rivals Mythos; that is quite optimistic thinking though.

Theft instinct isn't the same as vandal/retard instinct. Blacks literally just destroy things for fun. Chinks steal ideas... because they value those ideas. Then they manifest those ideas, into useful things.

Mainly its because it'd be a logistics nightmare to regulate for state to state. Then you'd have to deal with privacy, land rights, and how easily shootable theyd be in the US with the right circumstances

the moment a billionaire wants to do citywide drone deliveries, all these laws will be waived or just removed for that company. it will be amazon probably. rich people won't tolerate life in the hamptons being less fun than Shenzhen

Bezos wanted to do this 10 years ago. Laws keep getting tighter.
>>
>>109059685
well 10yrs ago shenzhen didn't have them so the rich had no reason to be jealous but now they do. just you wait, china can't have flying cars and delivery drones for too many years without rich cunts in the usa being upset they can't have it too. americans hate other people having it better than them. I hope the laws don't change, the usa couldn't do it as well as china anyway, don't embarrass yourself.
>>
>>109050844
>>109051014

there's also the fact that drones are a bad choice for delivery unless you live in the middle of nowhere.

drones can crash, in which they're messy and hard to retrieve if you're using a drone specifically for hard-to-reach places.

they're very loud, no one wants cameras flying over their yards, and stealing from a drone could be as simple as a radar jammer gun or some birdshot. you really don't think people won't be trying to shoot them down and loot them? it wouldn't just be free stuff, it would be very entertaining.

the US has a highly developed network of roads that can carry trucks with thousands of times larger payloads than a drone and can do so reliably and for cheaper (seriously: 1 semi truck and a high school graduate trucker or 20 robotic helicopters with tech support and pilots?).

the whole drone obsession is a solution looking for a problem. adding complex tech where it isn't needed is like the mantra of modern entrepreneurs. you're the reason why my car has start-stop
