After spending a few months in Shenzhen, I don't understand why the West is falling so far behind China's tech ecosystem. In Shenzhen, I can order anything and have it delivered by drone to a dropoff point pretty much immediately. Why isn't this available in US cities? It makes no sense to me. There's so much fucking money lying on the ground for anyone who just copies Chinese tech in the West.

It's cheaper and faster to pack a truck with hundreds of parcels at a distribution center and then drive to the delivery area and have them delivered there than fly a drove to/from distributiom center to deliver each parcel
