How is Apple gonna change under John Ternus?
>>109057060they're gonna become orange and sell the rights for MacOS to Kazakhstan
He's gonna Ternus back into a real UNIX

>>109057060They might finally get a heterosexual dude to buy a Mac. Probs just the one tho.
>>109057060Hopefully change Apple back to being more of a quirky dynamic inventive risk-taker that takes the time to sweat the details of its products (both hardware AND software, together), and isn’t afraid to speak its mind or take a real stand on something, as opposed to the extremely staid slow-moving milquetoast corporate Apple of the Tim Cook era that has played it extremely safe and tried to please everyone except its most dedicated customers. At the very least they really need to whip their software into shape. It’s been in obvious decline over the course of Cook’s entire tenure, and no splashy UI redesign every few years can hide it. They also need to stop taking third-party devs for granted and make a concerted effort to win them back, first and foremost by no longer treating the App Store (and in-app purchases) as their sacred cow.
>>109057060We might actually see a straight white male in an iPhone promotional image for once. But I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
>>109057060Vision Pro 3
>>109057060I don't know, man
>>109057060I've high hopes for their hardware but extremely low hopes for software. I'm glad they dialed it back for iOS/macOS 27 but the liquid ass design still looks like shit and half-baked. It shows no clear vision in that department while breaking fundamental UX patterns. No half measures, Ternus.
>>109057060>How is Apple gonna change under John Ternus?I'm guessing that every block of firmware will run ternary operations on pure logic now.
>>109058027>change Apple back to being more of a quirky dynamic inventive risk-taker that takes the time to sweat the details of its products (both hardware AND software, together), and isn’t afraid to speak its mind or take a real stand on somethingthat is not investor friendly>extremely staid slow-moving milquetoast corporate Apple of the Tim Cook era that has played it extremely safe and tried to please everyone except its most dedicated customers. This is investor friendly. And thus this will happen.
>>109059302it's going to suck ass anyways. they will only do what's necessary for stakeholder profit even if it means sacrificing product quality. iOS may as well be a mobile Chrome OS port that runs on React.js at this point.
>>109057723It already is real unix
