They are betraying their own graphics division?

seems like it

I'm getting AMD ATI flashbacks here but this time the other way around.
They will probably just buy Intlel soon

What will this mean for Arc?

didn't intel do the same thing with AMD graphics like a decade ago?

>betraying
The Arc team is decent and accomplished a lot with little but ultimately irrelevant in the big picture because they cannot compete. This is not a garage startup industry. You expect the CPU company to prioritize their GPU division just because it's a novelty to customers? Partnering with Nvidia and providing DLSS on a single chip is obviously something that is going to help them push a lot of units, especially important when they are trying to claw back relevance from AMD (even if this is a lesser concern for DIY market).

Remember when Intel wouldn't even acknowledge AMD's existence? kek

Yeah.

If you have any sense you're staying away from Intel for another 3 years minimum after the shit they pulled in the last defective CPU fiasco.

Their own graphics division is into dedicated datacenter gpus these days.
>>
>>109066090
kek. x86 got outdated years ago. If you're going to put the cpu in the gpu mobo then it's just another apu with more power running into it. not putting a x64 cpu in the gpu is a mistake or a tactical business move.

Is this gonna completely replace their own igpus/gpus or is this gonna be a side thing? Seems crazy to just give up on igpus after making so much progress. The panther lake stuff is impressive and had me slightly hopeful for the future. If we get nvidia igpus it seems like it's gonna get even more expensive.
>>
>>109068748
rubin is not delayed, it's already been in production for months and shipped to partners for testing. the gaming version isn't going to be much better than blackwell besides gains from node improvements (which are substantial since blackwell released on an old node to begin with). but the arch is made for AI improvements, not for raster performance, it's fucking over for raster-lovers

NVIDIA GPUs compete on the high end
Completely different markets. Intel has NO actual GPU that can compete with ANY of NVIDIA's

it's a 32 bit cpu. we have been on 64 bit for around 20 years. try again troll.

x86 is shorthand for x86_64, you fucking retard. nobody is making 32bit cpus anymore
>>

its probably just a one-off sku, if not for the simple fact that nvidia is insufferable to work with. literally all their partnershits go south

no it isn't you dip shit. they are trying to sell you junk. x86 is 32-bit, x64 is 64-bit. quit spreading disinfo nvidia shill.

x64 is the Windows ABI name for 64bit x86.
AMD64 is the Sys V-likes ABI name.
Intel calls it IA-64 as well. Again, there isn't a very clear name for the architecture itself. x86_64 seems universally agreed to in target triple names.

>>109070801
only i just did a fresh install on a old legacy computer a little while ago so i know what the fuck i'm talking about.

when will intel learn

>IA-64
That's itanium, IA-32 is x86 but intel genuinely thought that itanium would replace x86, and they could get away with dropping 32bit support.
AMD64 is a calling convention for system V which is unix I think, but it's completely unrelated. But nobody calls x64 AMD64 except libraries that support itanium (such as dbghelp for debug info), because it's easy to mix up x86_64 with IA-64, when 32bit x86 is also called IA-32.
x86_64 and i686 is used often for linux packages (I think they got rid of this when they got rid of 32bit packages?), but on windows x86 / x64 is used for the build tree of Visual Studio projects.
>>
>>109072642
oh ok
>>
>>109073007
Oh nevermind, System V AMD64 ABI is something else.
I assumed that C++ Itanium (VERY confusing that this also shares the name of Intel Itanium, it's different) also applies the calling convention for C, but that is not true.
So System V AMD64 is a important thing to understand the assembly that makes C functions work in linux and windows uses it's own format.
Useful new info for me I guess.

I got a full refund 14900k and bought another 14900k to replace it for $100 cheaper. The replacement CPU has had no issues and is warranted until 2029. Don’t tell that fat fuck from Gamers Nexus though. He’s got a narrative to spin.
>>
>>109073796
why are you lying
>>
>>109073849
hes coping, there is definitely no rust in his cpu
>>
>>109073796
My 14600k has been rock solid stable. Been using it since January.
>>
>>109076379
most people say that mostly 14900ks are affected i dont even know if 14700ks really got the rust
