There's a sudden surge of Firefox market share on Statcounter to almost 4%. Change of algorithm or did Mozilla do a marketing campaign? Could it be the fallout from manifest v2 being disabled in Chrome? Is Firefox finally getting the comeback it's been waiting for.
Troonfox is irrelevant.
>>109068088Despite disgust of the people on 4chan (aka useless minority), the new commercial strategy of Mozilla kinda worked? People noticed it and either laugh at it or find it kinda cute. And with Chrome and Google becoming more annoying with every passing day, it's natural that people are searching for alternatives and the cute non-beaney furry browser just exist.I am not sure how this will work long-term wise but hey, it's something.

I don't know how anyone still believes anything statcounter says after the 2023 unknown OS thing. It's not a major tracker at all, and Edge and Safari block it by default, let alone any real adblocker, which reminder about 50% of desktop users globally use. It's not 2010. Only Google, AWS, and Cloudflare really have a good idea of the distribution of useragents across the web at large, and they're not sharing.
