First of all, you can only reassign keys using Synapse (which isn't available on Linux) so I had to ask my friend for his windows system to reassign the left button to cycle up DPI.Today, I accidentally reset the mouse and had to borrow a windows laptop again to reassign that button and what do I see? The cycle up feature somehow requires Synapse 4 running in the background to work now. Can't even find Synapse 3 anymore to fix this mess. It's a jewish world we live in.
It's telemetry heavy spyware, it even requires an internet connection to work so you can't firewall it to keep it quarantined. Not worth using.

>>109069096Synapse is why I stopped buying Razer in 2012. Nice to see things only got worse.
>>109069594What do you use now? I need an alternative
My Zowie doesn't have this problem
>>109069096>I had to ask my friend for his windows system>had to borrow a windows laptop againUse a VM you stupid retard.
>>109069975Why would I go through the trouble of downloading virtualbox, the iso & setting it up, for a task that takes 2 minutes, instead of just asking a pal who lives in the same room?
>>109069096Why do you need a gaming mouse for a server (Linux)?
>>109069096Install and boot up a Windows VM, pass through the device and configure it with their shitty software.Imagine actually buying a mouse that requires some software to configure.
>>109070351Did you not read the thread? The software is the issue.

>I deliberately used a product in an unsupported usecase and am mad
>>109071756>company locks a feature behind their proprietary software for no reason>somehow the users fault
>>109071799the mouse driver is windows specific because it does dpc/isr reducing stuff on a separate core. the default driver on windows and linux do a crazy amount of cpu interrupts which cause latency. you may not feel it because you suck or use DSC which takes your OLED from 0.3ms to god knows how long your GPU interrupts, etc.
>>109071799>I deliberately used a product in an unsupported usecase and am mad
>>109071799Yes, it is your fault. You're using linux instead of an operating system that is actually supported by the other product you bought and are raging over something that's entirely your fault. Buy a generic mouse if you want something you don't need a windows application to use on your linux box.You may as well be screeching that you bought a parallel port printer and it won't work with a macbook air.
>>109072036You retard, this problem would exist on windows too, why should one have to run a goynet application in the background at all times?
>>109071675hamter
>>109072366No, the problem of "I need to get some other device to update my mouse waaah" would not exist. Just like buying a serial port printer wouldn't be a problem if you used it with a computer that has a serial port. You are creating your own issues.>goy slopwordThinking obviously isn't your strong suit.
>>109070100Yet you're bitching about having to ask people to borrow their Windows machine when you could have a virtual one on standby on your own computer
