They earn significantly more even if their skills are minimal. And I increasingly see sad posts where they conclude that they're just entering prompts and copying whatever the generator spits out. And they don't see a future in this profession. Even if I were good, I would be afraid of clogging the job market with masses of people who were laid off. For big tech, this market is much more important to replace than flooding the internet with another image generator that no one cares about.
