I think i'm getting old or something but big powerful graphics cards and everything that comes with it is getting on my nerves. The right case, right power supply, anti sag pole or not? Horizontal case maybe? Will the PSU be loud? Who knows? Dumps a lot of heat into the system. I've been using my brain at 100% all day to try to come up with a solution to these questions. And i basically just returned to the 5600g.
>>
>>109072183
Take the minipc pill
>>
the 5600g plays fucking dark souls remastered perfectly and also doom, what more could i want
>>
>>109072213
I am considering it, i am running this in an ITX case currently but it could be smaller for sure
>>
>>109072183
>And i basically just returned to the 5600g.
poorfag cope
ignorance is bliss
>>
>>109072183
Good choice.
> Will the PSU be loud?
Consider moving it out, to some other room. Stream your stuff, if it's not latency critical. It's alright if you have at least gigabit ethernet network which is pretty standard, even low tier for 2026.
>>
The truth is that there is nothing worth playing that requires more than integrated graphics.

I use my macbook neo to play Dead Cells and MTG Arena and never hear a fan spin or feel any heat. Try ARM, anon. x86 is probably just dead.
>>
this is why prebuilts exist. press a button, pc shows up at your door, if it doesn't work or you hate it return it for full refund.
>>
>>109072237
idk, 5600g is significantly slower than my 6800xt
>>109072270
i am very sensitive to latency, i still play classic doom and whatnot. But good idea still
>>109072273
While i agree with you mostly, there are certain more demanding games that i like, like doom eternal, ds3, bloodborne on shadps4, but that's basically it
>>
>>109072334
good point, but i think im better off just leaning into my current mindset
>>
>>109072213
Might as well just use your phone with a dock atp
>>
got some crazy fast 4600mhz cl18 gskill shit in this 5600g it's zooooooooming

you know what? i really dont "need more", ill sell the 6800xt to some shmuck
>>
>>109072343
Phones can't run all PC programs
>>
>>109072337
you are very sensitive to latency yet you have a ryzen cpu which is notorious for bad latency. im curious to see your latencymon.
>>
>>109072343
Any minipc with a 8060S or B390 igpu can run most games at 1080p60+
>>
>>109072213
minipenis pill more like, hrtranny
>>
god it's so quiet and it just werks, i dont have to look at the sagging gpu
>>
>>109072183
You're worrying about too much irrelevant shit. When it came out I bought a 4090 and put it in my 2016 era case and powered it with my 2016 era 1000W PSU. 3+ years later it's still working flawlessly.

A case is just a box, how the hell are you stressing about this shit? Buy one which can fit your components and which has some fan mounts. A PSU does nothing but deliver a few voltage rails, buy a decent one with more power than you need and it's going to be fine. No it's not going to be loud, we're not in 1998 anymore.

This is some seriously autismal shit.
>>
>>109072503
Yes, i am every autismal
>>
>>109072337
>i am very sensitive to latency
When it's LAN, it is only notiseable over wifi, because it can never be stable and causes dropped frames. Ethernet is fine. And there's UDP mode, but I never bothered to try, things like RDP on LAN over TCP just werk. So something like steam link should be good too.
>>
>>109072543
Never even considered something like this, i'll look into it. Thanks, Anon
>>109072503
But i actually have a new PSU coming in, but i read that it wasn't all that great and that it was loud and that once again sent me spiraling into doubt. It's the Phanteks AMP GH 1000W Platinum

>The right case
oh no, i have to pick a box that is big enough
>right power supply
oh no, i have to pick a box that has enough watts
>anti sag pole
yes
>Will the PSU be loud?
there is no moving component in any PC that is more quiet than a PSU, which are completely silent 70% of the time
>Dumps a lot of heat into the system
?
>basically just returned to the 5600g.
then use your phone and broadcast to a TV, sounds like you don't need a PC
>running this in an ITX case currently but it could be smaller for sure
20% less performance and component longevity for 50% more money plus car mechanic levels of frustration when building, cleaning or opening for any reason,
for sure

base mac mini m4

my cooler master v550 sfx gold would scream like no tomorrow on my ryzen 5 5600 at 4.3 all core 1.03v, and a 6800xt underclocked to 2100 875mv. It was the loudest by far
>>
>>109072802
sounds like a faulty unit with bad coil whine that most big brands would RMA
>>
>>109072828
It's not coil whine it's the fan
>>
>>109072412
Those cost above €2500 you can build a 5L ITX PC that would shit on both of those for cheaper.
>>
>>109072842
ok then a faulty fan bearing that 100% of brands would RMA
>>
>>109072566
I never owned any Phanteks device so I have no experience with them, but 1000W is quite a lot, odds are you'll run it at like 50-60% max unless you buy a 5090. It shouldn't be loud at moderate load, I have not heard a PSU fan in 15 years or something. You're not going to hear it over other fans in the computer.
>>
Steam machine
>>
you should have buyderized a blackwell 6000 by now
>>
>>109072213
>costs more than a similar spec laptop
>about as upgradeable as a laptop
>runs hot af because fans bad or something
Nothing smaller than mini ITX for me, thanks. (HTPC is currently a full size ATX.)
>>
>>109072580
name 3. I'll wait.
>>
>>109072183
I can't be bothered with nu-ware
New triple A titles run like dogshit even on cutting edge tech and need fake frames to get acceptable frames and indie games will always be <10 gig nuggets capable of running on a linux'd 2002 Chevy Malibu engine computer
Meh. Save your money, stick with AM4 boards and a 1080ti

no

read up on it

retards who bought it. dont cheap out on the PSU.

If you don't own a drill or dremel, then you're clearly a woman and shouldn't be here.
