>on the phone with tech support
>so far have been passed around to 3 separate departments, and placed on hold on and off for a simple request
>phone call has lasted over 40 mins

I don't understand. I wasn't raised with tech support: we either could fix the things ourselves, or we sent it to the mechanic to deal with it and got it back when it was working. This whole system of talking to someone while he explains what you need to do to fix it or to give him access to fix it seems alien to me.

>Huh thats weird, why can't I change/modify the settings of my account with my ISP wtf???Looks like I have no choice but to get with their tech support

Its just that simple man, I don't know how to dumb it down further for you.

I understand on a theoretical level, but it doesn't make sense to me why it should be that way. The way I see it, either the ISP provides me with access to change the settings on my router at 192.168.1.1 directly, or they don't. I don't like the arbitrary barrier of needing to deal with people to solve shit. My car breaks down, either I can fix, or I can't and I tow it to the shop. But the limitation is because of my skills/tools, not because of some imposed arbitrary someone needs a password I can't have. Fuck that kike shit.

On the ISP, I see that as "I can't change that setting" and I'll factor that into the price I'm willing to pay instead of dealing with these fucking filipino jeet retards.

there are increasingly no alternatives, everything will work this way

Meanwhile, I just ask AI and it helps me while also being far more capable than the phonejeet

I get it. Then I see as "there are no options where I can change the settings on my router" instead of "I can change the settings on my router if I can manage to get thru the jeet". And at that feature set, the price point is way too high. At that price point, I'm looking at smaller corpo ISPs that assign some sort of client manager to deal with my bullshit who isn't tech support. It isn't even that much bullshit and you know it.
