Soon. I'll probably post in a game dev thread or something. The one I'm charging for is kind of like a mix between a text adventure and retro jrpg. It's got a huge ascii overworld map, and when you're in towns, dungeons, etc the map changes to a smaller square next to the text description of each "room". The overworld map has random encounters like retro jrpgs, etc. I wanted to deconstruct the normal 'retro' gaming thing by taking the tired 8bit thing and merging it with classics like Zork.

That's part of why I run Omarchy, . I don't really have the patience or the free time for ricing anymore. If I'm not out at clubs networking and locking down gigs, or at home planning my setlists, prepping samples, setting cue points and testing out different effects, then I'm working on my novel so I can make my September deadline to get it sent off to the publisher, or hanging out with friends or my gf. So being able to basically create a color palette that matches my current favorite pape, saving it to a toml file, and letting the theme hook system set all of my tui, gtk and qt apps to match my color palette perfectly is a fucking godsend. Having a consistent system-wide theme by just creating a dir, dropping toml file and a 'backgrounds' subdir in it with my pape in it, then selecting my new "theme" from the Omarchy menu takes literally less than a minute to rice my whole system. After 32 years of using Linux, and having it be a massive fucking timesink OS it's nice to have something that "just werks". It's like the saying goes: some things are only free if you do not value your time. Well I fucking do, so Omarchy (and CachyOS, and even Endeavour to an extent) make ricing so dead simple that you can value your time and still use them.

I'm moving to my new home next week and I'm looking for a new my distro to install on my dinosaur: I'm going to wipe Windows 10 from my drive forever (haven't booted into Windows for months) and I mean to install a distro for both productivity and gaming. After ruling out the "gaming meme" distro such as CachyOS, Bazzite, Nobara, PikaOS etc.etc. and Tumbleweed (I don't want to tinker with my system 24/7), all I'm left with are my dearest long-time friends Fedora and Debian testing. My experience on Fedora GNOME has been great so far, but the fact I'm locked out from X11 is a bummer for my system fro gaming, so I'm actually considering going back to Debian testing on KDE (which also would prevent me from installing a new OS every 6 months). What do you recommend, anons?
