Guess it's only a tiny minority of people complaining in the first place, or maybe the market share is staying so high because they implement these things after all, and it's just a further tiny minority that can't appreciate it.
Also no one is EVER, in all the complaining about google search online, willing to give any kind of verified numbers or even examples of google search being worse now than it was in the past. It's always just "trust me bro i swear". That's assuming their metric for it being bad isn't that amount of sponsored links they see, even though the amount of sponsored links it shows doesn't matter to anyone with even a quarter of a brain. Just above them are the ones who are complaining because they have no idea how to use a search operator, etc. And above those at the ones shilling other engines as if every other engine isn't worse. Though im begging to realize these probably are just literal shills. No one not being paid to say so could possibly think ddg delivers better results.Lastly are the people for whom are correct the results are worse, but dont recognize thats only because the internet is worse, not something inherent to google, otherwise other places would have better resultsbtw this doesnt apply to like image search that actually is terrible and much worse, especially worse than competitors. don't get me started on how much worse reverse image search has gotten, on the off chance it allows you to search at all because it detected a face in the image
OP isn't wrong, google is just low-hanging fruit and doesn't fire back at anyone. when other services don't work or go down or distill from competitors verbatim, everyone makes excuses and looks the other way
