I miss this little nigga like you wouldn't believe.Any recommendations for a 7" Android Tablet?I used mine as a manga reader and occasionally watched animu on it while on longer train rides, so 1080p is important to me, as well as as much storage as possible, and anything coming up in search is either chink shovelware, itself released in 2014 and utterly deprecated, or tablets for children. My phone just isn't the same, plays animu quite fine, sure, but for reading it's hella ass.
>>109082373You can zoom out in browsers and some software.Go look in settings or buy ereader
>>109082468yeah but that implies I need to fiddle more with the fockin tech thingy than an actual book, not much of a fan.
aernt phones about 7" nowadays? use that>electronics are made in chinano way
>>109082373damn, i miss my nexus>Any recommendations for a 7" Android Tablet?desu why even bother with tablets in our days? any new budget chink phone will pretty much have same screen size as tablets back in the dayexample - 6.9', 6000 mAh for cheap
>>109082373A few years ago I was looking for a small, cheap tablet for the exact same use case (reading mangas and occasionally watching videos). I ended up getting an Ipad mini 2, because it was cheap as shit (less than £70 iirc) due to being unsupported, but the screen is amazing and both Chunky Reader (mangas) and Jellyfin still work on its eol firmware. The built-in book app is also good for reading PDFs.Mind you, it's literally useless for anything else due to Apple effectively bricking devices on old firmwares (that is, hardly anything on the store works), and supposedly the current version of the Jellyfin app is the last that will support it, so I might replace it in 2-3 years for whatever Ipad mini I can get for about the same price (though by then I will have used it for 8-9 years, so given what I paid for it I cannot complain).Decide for yourself if these are meaningful drawbacks, but for reading I doubt you can find something better in that price range.

>>109082728ignore this guy he is an idiot and doesn't know what he's talking about
>>109082781this dipshit as well.
>>109082373Just buy a new (used) Nexus 7. You can still do those things on it fine. Might need to replace the battery, but that should be easy enough.
>>109083450If the apps you want to use need newer Android, installing a custom rom is dead simple.
>>109082373just grab one on ebay there are custom roms up to like android 11, still pretty usable
