Good cameras with no garbage software with AI aids that make everything look blurry.
And that's it

they were decent devices, build quality was real good, screen looked nice, camera didnt use ai bullshit to make the picture looks like a blurry mess, os was pretty responsive and didnt feel souless even though the design was minimalistic

I think the HTC one m8 was better. it was the best phone I ever had

It was the only mobile UI that wasn't just a copy of Palm OS that was a copy of Apple Newton that was a copy of every single early icon based OS crammed into a PDA, which was a copy of Xerox Alto.

I mean technically it still had icons, but they just looked like tiles instead, which was still a pretty large distinctive step.

I liked my lumia but every single app made for it sucked or didn't exist...

In general, the OS was a better than iOS and especially Android at the time. It was more like a successor to BlackberryOS in that was more cohesively designed instead of just a jumble of random apps. The problem was that the app ecosystem wast nearly fleshed out and Microsoft had zero interest/success in getting people to develop apps for it. The hardware was good. Some of the handsets were nearly identical hardware to the Android version.

Still the best homescreen experience of any device I've owned.

I have a lumia 1020, sadly modern camera processing software beats the big sensor in image quality.

It's kinda decent phone, but I don't think they have english menu or non japanese 5g bands.

I had one and was genuinely sad they stopped making them, but with only 2 percent market share and no app support, I guess it was only a matter of time.
I had to switch when it stopped supporting my public transport/bus app iirc.
