How often do you clean your 'board?
clean?
>>109092042when the dirt compresses to a single, easily peelable layer, so like every 10 years.
>>109092042I turn the shower nozzle to full blast and clean out the keyboard once a year. If you dry it out properly before plugging it in it will work fine. I have done it to my regular mechanical keyboard and random cheap garbage too, no issues.
>>109092066Nice, gonna try that right now.
i just buy a new one. I don't buy anything over 10 euro
>>109092042Like once a year.I'm a pig I know
>>109092069I recommend swinging it around really hard to get most of the water out then laying it upside down to dry so any salt residue from tap water will stay in the plastic keycaps rather than the electronic "motherboard"
>>109092042Only once the cum hardens so much it forms a bacteria infused biological alloy making it impossible to press keys.
>>109092092The salt residue from your sweat is orders of magnitude worse than fucking tap water
>>109092042How often do jannies clean your 'board?
>>109092042never, I just buy a new one when it's too sticky
>>109092042Never, I'm sure it's really gross underneath. I just cleaned my mouse because it stopped wheel scrolling.
>>109092042i placed this keyboard on my desk 17 years ago and have not moved or cleaned it since.it's a das keyboard without the letters printed on it
>>109092042when i used to play competetive games i usually break parts of it enough to warrant buying a new one every 4 years or so before it ever gets truly dirty, now i also just buy a cheap new one when old one gets really dirtyits cheaper to spend 15$ every few years on a new keyboard than to spend multiple hours of your life cleaning it properly in that time
>>109092042I don't clean mine. I do however place the plastic cover that came with it on when I'm done computing.
>>109094097peak autism, kekI do the same...
>>109092042Whenever i spill my coffee and xmas newyears time.
>>109092042I daily clean the surface with a cloth. And once a year I do a deeper cleaning.
the gap between the keys is where the dirt is supposed to go. Sweaty fingers keeps the tops of the keys naturally clean except for rarely used buttons like backspace.
>>109092424>>109095559Why and how the fuck are you sweating from typing? I can guarantee there is no sweat in my keyboard because I've never sweated from fucking typing
>>109092042Every 75 seconds. It took three cleans to get this post out.
>>109092042no
>>109097156nta but laptop keyboards are egregious for causing sweating because they soak up heat and get hot.
>>109092042been using picrel for a few years now. between this and the air gun thing i bought I clean it multiple times per week with the blower thing and once per week with the gel. keyboard looks brand new years later witht he original caps.
