Is it true that the releases of films on blu ray are graded to be viewed in a different brightness setting than the theatrical film releases? Thus making calibrating your home cinema to the theatrical standard of 48 cd/m2 to be a futile effort?

DCP uses 2.6 gamma
sRGB uses 2.4
Windows uses 2.2

Your computer uses sRGB. Also DCP uses a much large DCI-P3 colour space.

Not to mention DCPs are between 150-300gb on average, compared to 35-85gb bluray remux.
