Answer is still the same it was in winter: Most likely sometime in 2027, give or take a couple months.

you sound angry and unemployed. if you can't afford to buy all the ram you need once every 5-10 years you should get a job or ask your parents for an allowance.

>prices going down
Use case?

>>109099666
Goodest of goy, we are comparing ram prices with 1 or 2 years ago. How much technological regression do we need before you agree that it has gotten worse?
>>
>>109099759
yeah I don't get the problem, I don't even have a particularly good job and I could buy 64gb of ram right now if I wanted
maybe I'm underestimating how many retards spend every dollar in their bank account every month

I am a literal poorfag shitskin zoomer and I have never owned a computer that wasn't a cheapshit Chromebook from 2013 that I rode until it shat the bed in 2017.
I haven't owned a computer at all since then; being able to spend $199 on a plastic laptop for schoolchildren back in 2014 is about as well off as I've ever been. Nowadays I just use a cellphone that is barely hanging on by a thread for everything. Storage has been full for years, I can't afford cloud storage, battery health is sitting at 50% it's original capacity, screen is shattered and full of stripes, camera doesn't work, I have to cross my fingers and hope for the best when charging it, currently writing this post on public wifi.
This is the only computer in my life right now and will likely stay that way for the foreseeable future.
The point is that I was born poor, have always been poor and will likely die poor. I have no skills, no prospects and most likely no future. I am completely expendable to this world. I could lay down and die right now and nothing would tangibly change for anyone except me.
There's an upside, however. I have no reason to care about how expensive computer parts get. Not my problem. :)

The prices wont come down, in any meaningful sense. Business will just have to pay you more. The global markets were manipulated during covid, the money supplies have been flooded, war economies have been built. We experienced what inflation was slowing doing over the past 20 years, but in 3.

that ship has sailed, they already see that people are willing to buy at elevated prices so if your model is to make money, why bring it down when you just force/pressure people into buying it?

At most, it would slightly go down, any post covid is cooked

The asian racial collective drive is lacking in whites, presently, and instead whites desire expansion and domination, competing with themselves.

asians: no competing with fellow asians allowed

whites: I'm better than you! *interrupted* NO! I'm better than YOU!

To make more money, newer cheaper products are invented etc. lots of techniques. It's all about competing, undercutting the other guy.

So, that's why prices can't come down. Asians aren't ALLOWED (socially) to compete with each other.

Don't know.

Pro tip: if you need an SBC or a mini computer of any kind and would prefer a new hardware to something outdated, you better get it now. There was already SBC crisis in the past. It lasted years and what you can find are the remnants of the market that recovered recently only to be killed off by AI nonsense.
Yesterday got myself a device that has LPDDR5 memory, soldered. If I were to get a regular PC, the same amount of DDR5 would be more expensive than my entire device. Which is a fully functional computer, requires a case and IO devices basically.
Those stocks been drying up, seen it with my eyes almost real time, and they are already hard to get.

The new crisis would not be because of high demand, but because all manufacturing capacity is busy delivering AI companies orders. It is also highly likely that manufacturers of RAM were bribed to cap the capacity, but that's a separate issue. Wafers alone seem to be in shortage, the real one, because everyone wants a new tech process. But also would not let go of the old stuff, just in case. So it's all interlocked rn.

2 years, it's the same shit as bitcoins. at some point doing specific hardware obliterates the fuck out of using consumer shit and consumer prices go down.

However this does not solve the white elephant in the room that is the fact transistor prices no longer go down.
From the start to around 2010, every 18 months the price of the transistor would fall in half.
Now it's no longer the case, if anything, it is going up every new generation.
This is why there's no cheap ass $100 PS4 slim.
