WebP supports lossless compression, but the problem is, it uses the exact same file format for both lossy and lossless. If I download a random file off a web server, I can't tell if it's lossy or lossless when all I know is that the file extension is .webp.There should be two webp file extensions, one for lossy and one for lossless.

4chan should support WebP, AV1, AVIF and (soon) JPEG XL.
i do like how small the files can get with it, but basically no site or program i use supports themi always have to convert the image to a different format which fucking sucks
