I just set up a server. Runs on Linux as God intended.Booted into it headless from the bmc again as god intended. The resolution was stuck at 1024x1024. Apply all kinds of commands to add a new 16:9 resolution. Nothing works, but I'm able to change the resolution through display settings. It_just_works.oggDon't realize this will break everything, because I just told it to use a graphics display outside the Aspeed bmc graphics bound. Because its 16:10 and not 16:9. Black screen after posting, gui can't load, it's out of bounds. But Linux is so good it allows me to switch to a cli only view. I can troubleshoot from here. Linux will let me uninstall my keyboard, and soft lock my whole computer. Set my graphics out of bounds and just generally be a complete hooligan. Because it treats me like an adult. With windows I lose hours and days of work, because I load projects in ram and swap only that aren't persistent. Windows decides I NEEED to update. Restarts my machine. All work gone. No way to tell it to fuck off. Open my start menu. Look for programs... it searches the web. See a fucking ad for a game in their store. I'd rather shoot myself in the foot 1000 times with Linux because it treats me as being smarter than I am. Then to be raped up the ass by windows.
