What app do you use for your second brain?

I dictate my notes to Claude and then have it make a PDF from it which is the. OCR'd by Codex which turns it into a wav.

What is a fun way to do this?
Maybe I'll try OP's app.
Is Obsidian better than Millanote?

Pen and paper. Digital lists and notes should be better, but they're just not. Plus, writing feels good in a way typing cannot replace.

There's really no benefit to that archaic shit and you're using appeal to tradition fallacy in lieu of an argument because you have arrested development and desperately long for the childhood you grew up in.

It's open source, has E2EE, and free tier is solid, another good suggestion is Joplin they have E2EE but no local encryption.

Encrypt files with gpg and email them to yourself. There's your encrypted synchronizing across devices. Mongoloid retard.

I came up with some prototypes, i.e. https://github.com/Tanami/maja but I haven't found a good software otherwise, I put some links to other software in the README if anyone is looking for alternatives.

>>109128968

The most important thing to realise about software like Obsidian is that it does not facilitate new thoughts in itself, but rather serves to expound upon things you already knew about. Is that really helpful? or do you just like arranging things?

None, but Logseq was the best until it dropped support for win7

You should still be able to use it in your browser.
Current version: https://demo.logseq.com/

This happens more often with these fancy nonsense software sites than anything else.
Makes me really doubt whatever they are trying to sell/hand out here.

use workspace on windows to keep a notepad++ window maximized at all times.
switch between workspaces with shortcut [ctrl]+[win]+[arrow] to create new notes.
they are auto saved by default.

Arranging things is fun. These tools were never about productivity, they are basically video games for autistic people.

I use GNU Denote.

If it wasn't Electron, I'd swallow the propritary bullshit. It's great on mobile for a .md viewer, but I can not support them not actually making an effort to do a "native app" or just allow you to use it in a browser (something some other .md applications have attempted to do as a fork/clone of Obsidian).
