>Just build projects>Just get internships>Just network>Just cold call>Just leetcode >Just shit and piss your pantsIt doesn't matter what you do, plenty of people are doing everything right and still get nothing, then get gaslighted by a bunch of redditors on cs related subreddits that they didn't do enough. And if you dare mention that AI is replacing SWEs, the copers will chimp out and call your posts AI generated propaganda, despite the fact they're too stupid to understand that AI has reduced the headcount for SWEs due to increased productivity.3-4 years of layoffs with no end in sight. Anyone currently pursuing this degree is practically s laughing stock or seen with pity. Yes, at one point this was a strong degree but now it's as worthless as a gender studies degree. Nothing seems to be getting better in this field and AI is only going to get better. Farmers aren't extinct but they've been drastically reduced due to technology like tractors. Probably like at least 50% of workers were farmers back then but now it's like 1 percent or less. SWEs and AI will probably head the same way and the copers keep digging their head in the sand and think AI is the most useless thing to ever exist.Everything is fucked and it seems to only get worse and worse over time. Pursuing this career is practically a gamble at this point. I wish I were wrong.
>>109173683nobody cares you couldn't make it. go into welding or something.
Thank god I don't live in USA and have a master's degree in electrical engineering
>>109173683You are right but unfortunately it doesn’t stop the culling from coming. The herd has a surplus population so some who have no labor to leverage will be starved or killed by the others.
>>109173683I got my BTech of AI and went from 60k->90k-> 160k in the span of 6 months. CS is boomer shit now, get with the times.
>>109173683If you want a swe job from an american company you just need to be brown and live in India saaar
here's the thing, if you were good at coding you would have a job. the reality is you are shit at it.
jokes on you, I am 24 and work at X on Claude. Maybe get good at coding?
>>109174067proof?
>>109174114I don't need to prove that you are retarded, you do that all on your own. get a helmet.
>>109174067>work at X on Claude.You what?
>>109174167please understand, saar is a bit confused
>>109173683I live in Europe and got CS bachelors and masters degree in one of the top 3 uni in my country. And before uni I was participated in math/coding olympiads in high school and won some prizes. And now I'm janitor. I'm working for minimum wage with jeets, ukranians refugees and other brown people who even don't speak our country's language at all...
>>109174060>>109174067What does being good at coding have to do with getting a SWE job?>work at X on ClaudeX doesn’t own Claude you stupid pajeet
>>109173683It's worthless.Frankly, I got far more work before I had "qualifications" than I did after someone said "oh anon you're so smart, you need qualifications so you can move up".So I got a real job (read: something not even remotely IT related), and life's good.
I've been telling you retards since 2013 CS was a deadend choice longterm kek
it's just becoming another one of those fields , like law and art, where only the best and most creative visionaries can thrive and everyone else is reduced essentially to an assistant or manager of assistants.
>>109173683We have to elect a based Democrat to protect the American workers from companies hiring overseas
there's no point in pursuing certain white collar 'professions.' a friend's wife works in UI/UX and was laid off nearly a year ago. she's having a lot of trouble finding work despite having a decade of experience, because UI/UX has been decimated by AI tools and indians. if, by chance, she finds a new job, she'll likely be laid off in another year or two. it's effectively a dying profession. many other white collar professions are in the same position. you're better off re-training to something more stable, even if it pays less money.
>>109173683>plenty of people are doing everything right and still get nothingIf they were actually doing things right they'd have the jobs and careers.
>>109176837>vanishingly entry level jobs college graduates historically unemployable >rampant outsourcing and h1b fraud>4% inflation Bootlicker
>another thinly-veiled AI shill thread posted during Indian morning hours
>>109173683Oh look, the call center drone is trying to demoralize people.
>>109176881Git gud retard. I mean seriously Indians can't code for shit, they don't know what LLMs output. If you're worse than a monkey on a typewriter, which is what is what they're hiring on h1b visas, then you don't deserve to be anywhere in this field. Go work at Walmart collecting carts with the rest of the retards.
>>109173683>redditors on cs related subredditsngmi. Reddit is 100% NPCs and bots, not worth listening toThe degree is worthless but not in the way you think. It's a structured introduction to the babby basics. You HAVE put in your 10,000 hours outside of school, right? If you did, you should have no trouble finding a job.
>>109176976>indians can’t code for shitHuh I fucking wonder why they issue 80k tech h1bs every year then/are currently building offices in Hyderabad. Almost like the quality is not fucking relevant to what they are hiring for
>>109173736It's nice to be productive member of a developing country. We're rooting for you from the first world.
