According to Statcounter Firefox desktop usershare went from 5.47% to 14.35% in USA in June! And from 3.8% to 9.01% if you include mobile!
>>109176375bravexisters?
>>109176375Why so many people still use chrome?
>>109176450basic bitch browser for turbo normies
Manifest v2 chads unite.
>>109176438I'm impressed brave has that many to be honest. Not far off from Edge isn't bad.
>>109176438Funnily enough I just switched from Firefox/Librewolf to Brave Origin. So far I haven't noticed much of a difference in speed or RAM usage. Youtube is just as slow and broken.
>>109176375that looks kinda sus
>>109176375>According to StatcounterIf you check https://data.firefox.com/dashboard/user-activity and select the USA region, you see no difference in user activity. It's still on a slow decline.
>>109176375and what are the score in a first world country ?

>>109176375Been using Firefox mostly since it came out with a brief interlude where I used Chrome also but have barely touched it in more than a decade. If Servo ever comes up with something usable, I'll add that to the mix, and Ladybird too. Also tried some other browsers on my MBP and iPhone, but both are old and outdated so performance was shit. In any case it is absolutely imperative that we break the Chrome monopoly on the web. Fuck Google.
I never really liked Firefox, it felt bloated and contrived back when I used old Opera. I continued using Vivaldi out of habit and because I generally like the features they have by default, always keeping Firefox installed as a side bitch. Vivaldi disabled ublock origin a week or so ago, you can still re-enable it, but it felt like it was time to move on.It's a shame FF is the only real option left. Browsing without an effective adblocker is unusable, and even dangerous.
It could be a scraper botnet pretending to be Firefox as Chrome scrapers usually get blocked.
>>109176882You think Firefox is bloated yet ran Vivaldi that is twice as slow?
>>109176807>LadybirdIs it ever coming out?
>>109179081no
>>109176450it's stable with my 1800 tabs open and firefox isn't
>>109179081Apparently it's making better progress than Servo, despite being newer, with less funding and less developers lol. But who the fuck knows. I hope multiple entirely new browser engines come out and take off.
How tf do I effectively block ads on iOS? Yeah yeah I know, iOS. There has to be a way tough.
>>109179243What I don't understand is why Valve doesn't make their own browser engine. It would cost peanuts for Gaben to do so.
