Is Fedora the best middle ground between Arch and Debian/Ubuntu LTS, that doesn't require you to tinker and just works? It might be the best distro for most cases. What do you think?

Just get Kinoite

Fedora ships with basically no codecs because of patent issues, so it's not that straightforward out of the box. You'll need RPM Fusion then installs video codecs, and then typical GNOME/KDE tinkering

That's DE tinkering, I speak about the system/os

Arch is cringe, you basically have to DevOps every package because they don't ship with sane defaults (instead minimal upstream defaults). Also it breaks constantly (often silently) but the culture just tells you it's a skill issue, because you're supposed to read a fucking Wiki to install, or get syntax highlighting working in any basic editor, or LibreOffice setup, or a systemd unit working properly, also because "Pacman" (lol) is a minimal-tist piece of shit. Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora and their spins are all good choices.

That's why I thought Fedora could be a good middle ground between arch and debian/ubuntu

There's really no middle ground in that case. Arch and other meme distros are crap and Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora are all similar.

cosmic atomic

It's pretty good so long as you hold off updooting to the new release for about 6 months.

Just use arch

Like most, my first Linux choice was Ubuntu, but I've switched to Arch because of the bloat. Hopped from Arch since Fedora 36.

There's no comparison between AUR and RPM Fusion - Fedora is superior in almost every aspect, specially in security.

Fedora isn't a rolling release, but every version upgrade was smooth.

CoreOS is an interesting option for servers.

Yes.
