Why is Linux so fucking shit at handling audio over bluetooth? Half of the time my headsets will connect in shitty handsfree mode with no option to switch to high quality sound, or connect but have no sound and I have to manually switch to them. I've already tried 50 "solutions" I found online that do nothing so I'm resigned to rolling the dice everytime I connect my headphones.
Works fine for me
>>109183130A shallow response to a complex problem. One could be forgiven for thinking Linux was America's favorite OS
Audio is a permanent Linux problem, it's so fucking tiresome. When sharing my screen, my system audio gets progressively cracklier over 1 hour until it is unbearable and I must restart the screen share. Why does that happen? I don't fucking know.
>>109183142his retort ("works fine for me") is a hint that your description of the problem ("linux can't handle audio") is so underdeveloped, so lacking in substance, that it is beneath serious considerationyou could consider, for example, describing your distribution, your setup, which relevant software you are using. the choice is yours, but if you don't give any information then HOW THE FUCK ARE WE SUPPOSED YOU HELP YOU YOU FUCKING RETARD
>>109183123Linux is primarily for web servers. That's what the companies who pay for development want.Nobody cares if your stupid headset works or not.
>>109183123You deserve it for using Bluetooth. Quit being gay and retarded and just use a wired headset.
>>109183639>wiredBased>>109183130OP btfo
>>109183639I need noise cancelling and whenever I've used wired headsets with noise cancelling, it produces an annoying static sound, only when NC is activated. So bluetooth it is.
>>109183155bitrate mismatch is my guess
>>109183123Not sure if it's the same problem you are facing, but I actually had to install windows again because of some problems with bluetooth headsets. Apparently there are different modes bluetooth can be configured. One is basically high quality audio and the other is shit audio but with enabled microphone. Apparently on windows they somehow found a way to hack it together so you can get high quality audio + mic, but for some reason they havent figured this out on linux yet. Bluetooth is an absolute shit tier propriatary garbage protocol, so I can't blame linux too much. But yeah it was enough for me to reinstall windows, because the main point of the pc was steaming movies in discord with voice and that also didnt work...
>>109183696Then whatever you have it plugged into probably isn't grounded properly
why don't you all get a regular old 2.4ghz wireless set rather than using BT?it seems silly to adapt the perf to the pc rather than the other way around
works on my machine
