Yoshida, the guy who gave Miyazaki a chance and produced Demon's Souls (which led to Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Elden Ring, etc) is not happy with the Steam Machine

Imagine taking this guy's opinion seriously
>>
>>109185909
he made some terrible decisions but he also learned from them. If they had put him in charge of Japan studio it wouldnt have been killed. Also he advocated for Soul Sacrifice 2 the dude had taste.
>>109185873
slow boot is probably due to vulkan shader compilation
>>
>>109185873
it sucks man
only the most cumslurping dickdrinking gabeglazing valvedrone could possibly want this garbage let alone want to spend over $1000 on something shittier than a fucking 6 year old PS5
>>
>>109185873
fuck this faggot too put bloodborne on PC you cunt
>>
>>109186049
Never. PCtroons are thieving niggers and wouldn't pay for it anyway
>>
>>109185909
>a normal human encounters something he doesn't understand at first but iterates on the concept later to fully grasp it and solve any problems caused by his earlier decision(s)
I wish more people had this kind of insight.

> allows me to play Steam games on my living room TV
I don't care if he did produce 1 good game (Demon's Souls), this guy is not a gamer
>>
>>109186129
his wife is not letting him put a hulk pc beast machine in the living room
that shit stays in the basement
>>
>>109186098
>normal human
he's a high outlier because he's world famous
he's not normal, he's extremely lucky and at least of average skill across multiple domains
>>
>>109186186
i don't have a wife and even I wouldn't put my PC, void of anything RGB btw, in the living room. that said, if you encounter someone else who cares, ditch them, because giving a shit about insubstantialities like that would be a massive red flag.
>>
>>109186186
Doesn't he play games on a Playstation/Xbox?
>>
>>109186211
apparently not. shit, he bought a fucking steam machine so I suppose he has a library of games on it.
>>
>>109186208
You can get some quite nice boutique ITX cases that look nice in the living room, but most of those are not very competitive cost wise if you want a 'steam machine killer'
>>
>>109185873
good, retard needs to stay away from pc.
people who played the pc-ports of these games know.
>>
>>109185873
what did you retards expect? the steam machine has ALWAYS been marketed as a glorified emulation box, with literal worse performance than CURRENT GEN consoles.
>>
One thing about the steam machine I have considered that when you look at it with the very specific lease of 'mini PC with dedicated graphics' it's actually... relatively competitive, at it's original price it'd have been killer, but now it's kind of in line with what competition (mainly chink mini PC companies) are offering.

And it probably has better warranty and service than those chink mini PCs
>>
Awful decoration, not even the clinic where my old man is currently hospitalized in the turd world (he's getting out tomorrow ok) looks this grim
>>
>>109185873
With steam machine YOU are the research.
>>
>>109186524
>the steam machine has ALWAYS been marketed as a glorified emulation box
They had 4k couch gaming as a feature in their marketing materials until they silently removed it
>>
>>109186980
So does the PS5 and Xbox, and neither of them run most games in 4k
>>
>>109187047
So was it marketed as an emulation box or a Series X/PS5 competitor that ended up having worse performance? make up your mind
>>
I agree but it's also hard for me to blame Valve or anyone else in the industry besides the hardware vendors.
This is hardly a unique problem to the Steam machine. Everything is fucking terrible AND expensive at the same time and it fucking sucks.
But what are they or I supposed to do about it?
At best you can begrudgingly give up your money knowing that you're buying shit that isn't even spray painted gold, there isn't even any trickery, things are bad and everyone knows it.
