>>109186088Still working on Vivaldi :)
i moved to the cripled extensions and have somewhat mitigated the change. ii did not like moving from violentmonkey to tampermonkey or from ublock origni to the shit version, but this is what you get when google controls the internet.
>>109186088AdGuard still works and gets new scriptlets sooner and has better coverage and is the upstream for most filters anyway.>b-b-b-buh their website says they accept MONEY ewwwwjokes write themselves.
tried to switch to vivaldi and it claims my ip has been banned for abuse, please verify email?but on here i can post normal
i should also commend linux here - linux uses the central updater both in mint and in steamOS this means that i can a choice if i want to do an update of Brave 1.91.180 -> 1.92.134 and you have to have a mental illness to update pass this point. this control over updates on its own on linux is a big win as you essentially take the blame for any fuckup google makes if you allow it to reach you.
>>109186088You knew it was going to happen with all chromium browsers, don't act surprised. Vivaldi also turned it off, although Vivaldi is not a scam like brave.

>>109186318the only solution for some problems is to just stick to what works. this has been the case with windows 10 and linux and some other software. you cannot just let strangers in your house to come and install updates on your stuff - if you want a simple life, be prepared to live in the past.
>>109186157>Move to Firefox?I never left.

How do I reactivate the extensions that's forcing off? If I can't I'm uninstalling this tranny leftist authoritarian garbage.
NOOOOO MY HYDRUS COMPANION

>>109186554This. If anons still won't take the Firefox pill in 2020+6, it's too late for them.
>>109186845I am tech illiterate, but Brave runs on Chromium, and they finally pushed the update that disables extensions using "manifest version 2", there's no way to enable it again. Best devs can do is maintain specific extentions themselves (there's currently only 4 and they're all script blockers)Why did they have to push the update? I don't know
>>109186952What makes firefox immune to corporational tyranny?
>>109186932wow... that's funny and coolI wonder how long this will last
>>109186953brave is trying to essentially be a viable browser and needs to update from the codebase provided by google - it is money related for them as they even sell a browser that is clean from crypto stuff ( which is not a big deal ). while i personally dislike that they did this as i had to change extensions and it sure as hell means that i will NOT pay money for a browser that is downstream from Google Chrome, I understand their decisions from a business standpoint. the truth is that much like how this whole drama did happen in like 2015/2016 with firefox and their at the time decision to nuke extensions, google is going the same again. you can just run an old version of the browser or just move on.
the truth is that you just cannot trust firefox or google forks - they are both pozzed. and a 3rd option is not coming.
>>109186157don't fight it, goyin ten years from now, you'll have to offer a live blood sample to moloch to have any website load at all
>>109186088works on my machine what version are you using
Literally THE day I decide to give Brave a shot after having been Firefox for life, I managed to enjoy Chromium browsing for like 5 hours before Brave decided kill Violentmonkey. What the fuck. Oh well, back to Firefox I go, I guess.I know you can enable v2 ublock origin in Brave but apparently they had zero interest in supporting userscript?
Literally no use case. Stop being an idiot and using 2 blockers.
uhh what version of Brave are you guys using? I'm using Brave Origin on GNU/Linux (Debian based) and I just updated to the latest version to see if uBlock Origin would be taken off but I still have it.
