I run Qwopus 27B v2 on my old GPU. Shit is cash. Its slow as balls due to aging GPU(if you got modern gpu, it will be lot faster), but its working. The local model that really started to work was Gemma 4 12B I think, that was the minimum, but the real ones are the dense 27B models from Qwen and the distilled trained models like Qwopus for optimized tool usage and token usage. Its great.
