Just like simple economics or biology, they don't care or don't want to see the truth.

>>
>>109234153
I still haven't met anyone personally who has developed AI psychosis or thinks it is anything other than a dumb computer program and everyone at my work is using it every day now. It is a super useful tool for software development. But like, if you're wielding it properly it's all about creating lots of planning documents to keep it on track and split up work into bite sized pieces, never letting a context window fill up, and certainly never arguing with it when it starts being wrong. Just close that context and start fresh.

As for the infinite slop content on the internet, that was already happening before LLMs completely human-generated. AI just made the creation of such content a lot more accessible to more people for lower effort. AI didn't cause the problem it just exacerbates an existing issue. Same goes for things like declining literacy rates, etc. Don't blame the tool, there are deeper societal issues at play.
>>
>>109234633
Anon, you haven't recognized people suffering form AI psychosis and socialmedia algorythm induced madness because you're suffering from it yourself. And it's so normalized that you don't even recognize it happening around you.

It's worse then you can possibly imagine...but that's not hard considering you've offloaded your thinking and imagination to manipulative sycophantic chatbots .

Of course anyone who cares about freedom would be against AI, it's the most powerful tool of the total all-encompassing surveillance state.
The KGB and the Stasi tried their hardest but you simply cannot keep an eye on everyone at all times because you do not have enough people to do it. AI solves that.
>>
>>109234221

>>

>>
>>109235595
You could say the same about cellphones and internet. Your point?
>>
AI is just another tool in the war between creatives and executives. Business minded people hate how creatives can't quantify exactly what production cost and product value is. Creative people hate how business people reduce art and talent down to a number on a spreadsheet.
AI is the executives trying to replace creatives with a measurable output value. CEOs everywhere think they can use AI to build the next product and cut the creatives out because they see no difference between AI slop and talented output.
Actually talented people see that AI can shovel slop for the bean counters so they can do more of the creative stuff they want to do. Untalented creatives see they can't compete with the literal average output of everything that AI produces and thinks AI will take over everything.
You're either above average and will always have a spot in the job market or you're below average and will lose your job to AI.

If it's anti human then it's not beneficial. Machines are human tools. They are pushing AI to replace the human part. A software should be launched when you want and do the task the user asks. That's not the case with AI. It will spy on me and do what it wants to do.

>Why are RAM prices so high
Because the RAM manufacturers announced that they were cutting production at the beginning of 2025 because they said that they didn't want to get stuck with unsold stock. Then by the end of the year there was a shortage and they were selling stock at 600% of its previous value.

so using only linear algebra gets you the perceptron, which is roughly 50s technology
linear algebra alone can't even implement something as simple as an XOR gate
an absolutely critical element of modern machine learning are non-linear elements between the linear ones
without those, any chain of linear transformations can be composed into a single linear transformation, and you're back at the perceptron

>>
>>109234153
the only "defense" of AI you can see here are nonsense statements like "I got sooo much done in such a short time so AI is good" without any way of knowing what they did, what their field is, what their goals were, or anything like that. The truth is AI is very good at enabling people who make the world a worse place. And sometimes you get people who admit that, happily saying their life has gotten better thans to AI helping them making other people's lives worse. So in that sense AI is good just like a virus is good if you ask a misanthrope.
>>
>>109234153
AI is something that is forced upon most people, it's not something you can ignore, it's the elephant in the room. You can't opt out of the zeitgeist.
This is the space where most anti-AI takes come from. They don't care, they have no interest in it, and so they make these lazy takes on the elephant in the room.

No one would be against AI if, just as the Industrial Revolution did, everything suddenly started getting cheaper and global production of goods skyrocketed, with entire countries rising out of poverty and becoming major powers.
But what's actually changing? I see everything getting more and more expensive, especially computer stuff. At the same time, services and products all seem to be getting worse. I can't even visit my favorite hentai site anymore without seeing a flood of repetitive trash "created" by people with no taste or creativity.
The impression people have is that AI is just screwing everything up, and at the same time, everything is getting more expensive. It's the opposite of what a technological revolution is supposed to do
>>
>>109234153
>even libertarians
who?
>>
I doubt anyone hates “AI the tech”, we mostly hate the fake hype around the industry and how its forced on us everywhere.
Looking at the pattern a third AI winter is inevitable and after all the trillions in investment and degrading people’s life all they could show for it is a bunch of hallucinating chatbots, that can neither cure illness as they implied nor come up with NEW and WORKING solutions, that will all be raped by local llms long after the whole industry collapses and all hardware prices readjust -i hope- and will look back on this era and how fake and astroturfed everything was
>>
>>109234153
It makes life boring when used for creative endeavours, flooding the populace with never before seen amounts of slop. Normies can't even handle the normal internet as we've seen over the last decade getting their feeble brains fried and destroying what is was and what it was supposed to be.
>>
>>109238648
It was an online movement that popped up in the late 2000s in response to TARP bailouts following the housing crisis, government online mass surveillance, and the government lying about the Iraq war. And then everyone forgot and the Overton window shifted, so claiming they're not in support of AI is a vacuous truth.
>>
tech is not evil, we just have a ruler class of mostly old people that have been in power for 4-50 years no that have no idea of what they are doing or as just evil

basically great tech, evil people using it, that's it really, if we need to stop for now, and/or slow the fuck down so we can fix that, so be it, and it suck because I want to see space travel wild west on my lifetime, but its not going to happen if we really become basically enslaved by these old people and oligarchy via digital ID and the like, humanity will most likely come to a standby for decades if not more

I love the tech, but for the average person where is the use?
It automates some tedious office asks, but you still have to look it over and change it. Same with coding if you don't want low quality or wish to forfeit any creative control.
Outside of that there's just porn, and funny shit to do with it.
I'd hardly call any of it 'life changing'. Maybe in 10+ years, but not now.

The things they're doing with it are not applicable to the majority, or not wanted by the majority.

Get out of the AI headspace and ask normal people. They are either clueless or have no need for it.

The left is too centered around pitting groups against each other based on wealth, race, religion, gender and any victim categories they can find and they like to try and use the government to engineer their own chess board and come up with new rules that breaks the game. The only people who like aislop are the people making money running the companies, the chip manufacturers, aijeets, and the evangelist cunts spamming this site to death.

Libertarianism is a pretty cut and dry ideology, anon. Blame nu/pol/ (stormtards, trumpentourists, their current incarnation merging conflicting nunazi and neocon ideologies together) and the feds that put that retard in his underwear on stage 10 years ago for muddying the waters with their insufferable stupidity. There was a time this place valued freedom, rather than licking boots and sucking cock.

>>109240570
That's part of the water muddying. Look up the actual definition of liberalism and it's not what murricans and fox news cuckservatives call the democrat party.

liberalism comes from the notion of liberty, free individuals rights. thats the foundation of western society was built upon. free rational individuals making their own decisions, in equal society, and doing free trade with each other inorder to pursue life, liberty and pursuit of happiness

government censorship, government banning, etc was never part of liberal ideology. liberalism came from enlightened era where people got tired of kings/government
>>
>>109234153
it is beneficial in good hands not in goof hands, like giving weapons to a monkey

Libertarians only think about money, so they see money to be made in catering to anti-AI luddites. Molyneux is a known grifter and wannabe cult leader

It's the grift that's in
Normalfag NPCs bought the lie that datacenters are using all le water
AI = le bad for environment
Also the chip shortages are all AI's fault somehow, don't ask questions
Influencer fags see this and cater to the NPC by amplifying the lies because every view and every click is another cent in their bank account
It's all so gay and retarded makes me wish AI actually was killing all human life, fingers crossed

Private credit and the federal reserve are propping up AI companies (which are not profitable)

it's natural for libertarians to be adversarial with anyone who damages the price discovery mechanism

This is something strange I've noticed. Now I'm not saying there aren't bots that post to 4chan. But for the most part when looking at all tbe otber social media websites. They all have a vast amount of very obvious LLM bots piping their outputs straight to the websites. But for 4chan I honestly never see it.
>>
>>109240570
Dems have started to pander to the more lefty types whereas the ones you'd assume to be actually believers in liberalism have become more corporate stooges.
