Anyanons here use neocities (or anything like that)? Feel free to share your projects here!I need to make some quick changes to my Neocities page before I'll post mine here, but I'm quite curios to know if this isn't just a niche thing of mine lolOld Geocities projects you had are also welcome!
I want to make a website, but I have nothing to tell, nothing to share, nothing to show.
>>109238591Just write about your day anon:)
I have a nearly blank Neocities page. Everything I thought of putting there has just ended up as half-finished .txt documents on my computer. I fucking hate writing HTML by hand. CSS? What a nightmare. Not going to bother, use an extension to theme it yourself for all I care (which should be the default but good luck reversing 30+ years of webshit). I actually do have a few things to say but I guess I just hate everything about making websites.
>>109237781>indie webNo, it's just what the web used to be about don't let corpo drones shape your language
>>109238591That's fine, I think there's always been sites like that every here and there. I have a page on my neocities site that's literally just a bunch of images I got off pinterest that I thought were funny (called a moodoard)That said, if you have any outside projects you have (whether they're tech related or not), promoting it on your site would be a good idea if you're looking for site ideas, or do what I do and look at other people's neoticites and get ideas from them too!>>109238638if you want, I can try to help out with that. I may not be the most experienced but I'm willing to try. What's your email? (burner email is fine too if you don't wanna dox yourself on accident lol)>>109238700Technically when I refer to the "indie web", I'm referring to any website not ran by a corporation or business in general (aka personal projects), but it's cool if you perfer to say that to reference newer webdev projects too, I think keeping that label to one specific description is kinda dumb when it can refer to a multitude of web-dev related projects (such as neocities)
>>109238599I'm not sure anyone would be interrested by some schmuck growing random shit in his garden after a shitty day at the office.
>>109239203Ooh, gardening sounds fun! I don't think I've seen anyone on neocities make any sites about that yet
>>109239203literally more interesting than 99% of the modern web
>>109237781Static webpages are comf, javascript is the devil. I condone this thread.
>>109238591That's literally 99.9% of indie web pages. I know because I'm working on a project that involves going through many of them at a time (not actual scraping strictly speaking).
>>109239277There are in fact several sites about gardening on the Indie web. I'd link them, but I haven't saved them as I'm not particularly interested in gardening right now.
