Yes. You, the user, provide the soul for the stuff you make with it. Of course most AI stuff is made quickly without a care, so it ends up being the soulless slop you're complaining about. If you use the AI as a tool to make your art, you can make stuff that isn't soulless. But if you offload the whole task to the AI, you get slop.
