Except for iphones*
In the real world, Nintendo just said they're taking Switch off the shelves only in Europe for this exact reason.
>>109242054It would be cool if tech companies didn’t just get to bypass laws trying to prevent a planet full of garbage dumps
>>109242022What a weird regulation.
>>109242022iToddlers lose again.
>>109242022>The EU sellsout anyone wanting a bigger economic zone in Europe
>>109242054*because they will only update the Switch 2 not the EOL console
>>109242054>>109243275God forbid someone actually does anything against vile and anti consumer global monopolies. Can't do anything, can't pass any regulation law because "it might scare off le international investors" I don't give a shit, whoever those international investors are should bend down to the will of the people.
>>109243311delete this antisemitism now goy
>>109243311The joke is that the pic is written by an ESL. Anyway fuck big tech, thanks EU for doing something right once. And fuck you EU for chat control 1.0
>>109242022Since when EU is this Chinaphobic and antisemitic?
>>1092420229 months, 105 cycles still 100% battery healthit will take probably 15 years before EoLso whats the point anyway?
>>109242022I spent $100 to have a shop install a new battery in a old phone.I think don't see the problem.
>>109242022I'm gonna wait to upgrade my phone then. I want a removable battery like it used to be.
>>109243311Cool it with the antisemitism.
>>109242022But they wouldn't save videogames?
>>109243702You just ruined your battery. They last forever until you brag about it
>>109242054What are you using? Seems good. Now the switch stopped being shipped because they are getting switch 2 simple as that not because of some law retard kun, the switch is just grab a screwdriver, dissasemble and change battery when needed well "if" needed (is probable the owner will die before nintendo batteries) and that "if" is simple>15 years 3ds>still working>didn't charge it for 3 years and worked like nothing.
>>109242131>tech companiesjews
>>109242054Switch not Switch 2.Retard.
>>109243354>And fuck you EU for chat control 1.0The 'chat control 1.0' emergency act consists of voluntary scanning only, anon. Back when it expired, US big tech had already clearly stated they didn't give a toss and would continue automated scanning for CSAM whether said scanning were legal or not.The EU didn't have much choice other than to reinstate the emergency act for another 2 years, because not doing so would put them into the unfortunate situation where they would be forced to take action against the US corpos under the GDPR - which in turn would've given the Trump administration a whole heaping of ammo to get tarriffs and other-countermeasures deployed against the EU, under the guise of it being to protect the children from 'those European pedophiles'. A double whammy which would also become a lightning rod to draw some of the Epstein lightning off of the US political circles. And the reinstated act does still carry the amendments that the EU Parliament had managed to get put in before. Which at least means it is now formally not allowed to mess in any way with E2E encryption, including tampering w/ protocol security to introduce known exploitable weaknesses or adding backdoors.
>>109246342>But they wouldn't save videogames? The EU Parliament actually did and still does want to. It's the EU Commission which got fast-talked out of it by the industry-lobby; and Parliament has formally called the Commission out on their bullshit excuses. Parliament's immediate focus is to secure part of the SKG asks via amendments to the Digital Fairness Act which will soon go through first reading. After that, who knows?Technically Parliament has the legal power to *order* the Commission to draft a new act to resolve any problems identified by Parliament. And then the Commission will have no choice but to do so. It's not used often and the Commission is usually left to its own lawmaking devices based on their long term plans, and communicated focal points. But the option is there.
>>109242022Long overdue. Fuck silicon valley (and a certain Seattle) corporations. Bend the knee or be left with pajeet market
>>109242022enjoy water damage
>>109242022How do you know that?
>>109248151Samsung Galaxy S5 had replaceable battery and IP67 rating
>>109248151look at this retard gobbling corpo cock and lies like a good little goy!
>>109247918>Sure it's getting hotter but I'm not boiled yet, ribbit
>>109242022>exemption for waterproof phonesthis literally changes nothing
>>109246136If they didn't fuck you over with the design, you could have done it yourself in 1 minute with a standard screwdriver and a $30 battery
>>109242054Why would Nintendo still sell Switch anywhere at all when Switch 2 came out a year ago already?
>>109242022Forced 5 years software updates? This will kill Sony and their 2 year max jewish strategy.Even chink phones sold at 100€ have longer support
>>109248463>67heh
>>109249052Ps2 still sold for a decade after ps3 launched
>>109242054The Switch is such an easy device to change the battery on. The laws should be more specific and refer to things like adhesives and needing to use heat to remove components which would include heat guns, hot plates, and soldering irons. The Switch you can remove the battery with just a screw driver I'm pretty sure.
>>109242214it wouldn't be weird if it also applied to the most popular phone in the 1st world. But the Consumer Rights Warriors™ suddenly stop caring when they get their nice bribes.
>>109242022Based
>>109242054>picture says "Software updates for 5 years">Switch original release date was March, 2017>almost 10 yearssounds about right, at least Nintendo was forgiving
>>109242054>J-Just one more regulation and they're leaving the billion $ market bro!
wow wow wow i can finally buy an iphonewas thinking whether graphane os or iphonehope jack comes back too
>>109242054I unironically can't wait for the time when a major company decides it's simply not worth it to deal with the backwards EU and their anti-humanist regulations. And after the first domino falls, the EU will rapidly fall behind in technology availability.
>>109247918>blah blah the eu didn't wanna piss off trumpso you just voluntarily signed up for chat control instead, the exact thing us corps are doing and you say you don't like. if you actually had a spine you would invite that attention from the US, it might actually put a dent in the corps just doing whatever the fuck they want. but no you can't, you make excuses for the unelected bureaucrats running your shithole because you're latched onto the US teat despite crying about it every waking minute, and instead give those same bad actors levers to manipulate you further. pathetic.
>>109250480>mandating removable batteries and non-jewish power adaptor standards is "non humaist"The sheer brainrot of post cold war propaganda will never be undone will it?
>>109250131I feel like I should point out this is between a Japanese company and the EU. America isn't even involved.
>>109249052Switch 2 got no games
>>109243702the catch is when it starts degrading it degrades faster and faster.. 9months is basically new, wait after 3 years... mine started degrading that it lasted half day, then 3 hours, then 1 hour, then 30 minutes after fully chagred... then i bought new battery from aliexpress, 3year old phone the glue is not so tough anymore, you dont even need heatgun, just your nails... few screws and new battery was installed... i put new back with new glue there... and it lasts two days as new again...
>>109247918Let me explain how the government works:>they pass a stupid law that takes away a tiny bit of your freedom for the stated goal of solving some mass hysteria event>It's a stupid law that's really meant to tighten control over you so it doesn't solve the problem at all>they come back a few years later and say "the mass hysteria problem hasn't been solved! My predecessor passed a law that did nothing but i'll make it more powerful!">they pass a new law that takes away even more of your freedom>repeatYou can't even write shit like this on the internet anymore without someone knowing and writing your name down.
>>109248151>what is a gasket
Remind me again what Europe still makes that is actually value-added
