ITT: shit you're surprised still exists.
I used to work in a small graphics agency back in the 2010s where they still used the Corel products. We graphics wagies hated every minute of it but wouldn't get anything Adobe because they were too money pinching to get us those licenses. I wonder if that office still uses it to this day. Left them years ago. But then again Adobe is shit nowadays too so whatever
>>109243323I liked Corel Draw when I was a kid - drew my own South Park characters. It was a very intuitive program.
Corel Draw is not a bad software at all but somehow these niggas can't get their marketing right. I mean, for software that's supposed to be used by graphic designers, you'd expect some aesthetically pleasing marketing images not basic, low quality stuff like this.
>>109243460Yeah in the early days it was awesome. When I had to use it professionally in the 2010s it was really buggy and behind the times. This was an issue when clients expected top efforts and compared us to other graphics agencies but those others usually used top of the class software
>>109243495>>109243279My guess is that they're comfortably coasting on existing licenses that somehow still stick. If they had to fight for their lives and for new users they'd certainly put more effort into it.
>>109243495Pretty sure those icons are still bitmap based and will look MICROSCOPIC on 2020s 4k displays. Something that was taken care of by other software packages like a decade ago.
QuarkXpress still exists and you guest it - it's AI powered
>>109243495Probably drawn by a sweaty indian in some shack with no AC for 2 dollars
They still make Painter which they bought off MetaCreations when they went under, but I never hear about it anymore.
>>109243279corel painter still has the best physical media brushes of any program, too bad they're hidden behind corel painter>>109243542what the fuck are you talking about? top 0.00001% software in the world, bow down before talking about SQLiteand not just self hosted, it's even behind cloudflare d1 now
>>109243947>top 0.00001% software in the worldyet it still gets mogged in every single dimension by postgres
>>109243279They could have made paint sho pro compete with photoshop.Instead they made it worse, slower, and buggier. And now that they've been bought, there has been nearly zero development in all the core products. The fuck are they even doing.
>>109243966completely different usecases, and postgres gets mogged by oracle if you're so hellbent on using chronically online retarded words by autistically hyperfixating on some sort of metric like I suppose performance in this case
>>109243983and oracle gets mogged by cockroachdb
>>109243966>sqlite gets mogged by postgresdumbest thing I've read in a while on here.
