no one cares about your jap bank lmao retard
>>
>>109247930
It's relevant every few years when the US decides to take on more debts. Japan is the only reason they can do that.
>>
>>109248271
Implying the US needs Japan (or anyone else) to take on more debt on monopoly money
>>

>say larp
>it says larp
wow
>>
>>109248278
but still somebody needed to give money to the US. if there's no one country which want or can do it then the US is fucked up?
>>
>>109248278
They don't, but doing it without japan (or anyone else) will make the dollar completely worthless.
>>
>>109247891
I hope so.
>>
oh no the jap carry trade is dead - what will we do without a useless nation of financially illiterate retards who blow their own economy up every few decades
>>
>>109248289
If US wants money - other countries have little choice in giving it. You either do as they say, or you become Gaddafi'd.
>>109248292
The worth of the US dollar is not determined by what turdies think of it or how they take on US debts
>>
The US literally has debt in the TRILLIONS that Trump can assume will default; once countries start to collect, we are absolutely fucking fucked, that's for sure.

Questions is, are we entering World War 3 or will the US become a 3rd world country?
>>
>>109248352
>entering World War 3
When everyone is tapping the sign?
>>
>>109248360
What sign, exactly?
>>
>>109248352
most us debt is owed to us institutions
a default would mean no one else really gets paid
there's no point destroying the consoomerist economy that has ever existed - it's who you sell your shit to

I'm sure you know which one.

also you can't just 'call in' your debt - these are bonds that mature at specific dates lol.
you can trade your debt and move it around but you can't just go up to the whitehouse with with your 30yr bond and be like, pay up mother fucker.
>>
>>109248348
>If US wants money - other countries have little choice in giving it. You either do as they say, or you become Gaddafi'd

but what if they don't have money either? if you haven't noticed yet, but all european countries and japan are in big debts too.
at some point these countries won't have money to buy US treasures and all the system will collapse.
>>
>>109248392
The only way for system to collapse is for the US to lose it's military overnight. Barring that, the entire world is the US playground and if they want anything valuable from a country - they will get it
>>
>>109248348
Well, they already do that. The problem is the interest rates of those other countries. Military might is a fleeting thing when you can't pay your soldiers and forcing those other countries will be far more expensive than paying their interest rate.
>>
>>109248418
>they will get it
Except Iran.

US military is not so strong anymore. Have you seen what happened to Russia? Their militray was also "strong". The second army in the world, right after the US army. And what happened to Russia in Ukraine? What happened to the US in Iran?

America maybe was the only superpower in 1990s but those days are long ago.
>>
>>109248418
The European and Japanese economies are currently in severe decline, their industries are no longer competitive, and more and more of their companies are losing out to China.

What do you plan to get from countries in deep economic crisis, with aging populations and shuttered factories? How will you squeeze the trillions America desperately needs from impoverished countries that have nothing left themselves? America's vassals, alas, aren't doing so well. And when your vassals are impoverished, you're a pauper yourself. Just study the history of medieval feudal Europe and everything will become clear.

The US could squeeze the EU and Japan dry in the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s, when those economies were at their peak and China wasn't a competitor. Now, however, it's the late 2020s and the situation is completely different.

>you can't just go up to the whitehouse with with your 30yr bond and be like, pay up mother fucker.

Except if you point at nuke at them while doing it. You can get away with a lot when you point a nuke at someone.

Hence why operations like in Iran are way more important than what most people realize.
>>
>>109248814
the white house just points 10 nukes back at you, bro
use your brain for one second

>>
>>109248384
From what some finbros have said Japan has a LOT of mature bonds that they haven't cashed out on due to some unspoken agreement with the US involving security and such.
>>
>>109248278
Look up what carry trading is and the role Japan has in it.
>>
>>109248897
>Japan has a LOT of mature bonds that they haven't cashed out
this isn't something you can do - japan keeps buying more treasuries on maturity. you can't just not-collect - you'd be forfeiting your claim over the debt which is also not a thing that anyone's doing.
>>
>>109248830

Sure, but America doesn't want an all out nuclear war.

Rogue nations might.
>>
>>109249101
no. this theoretical nuclear nation state that's willing to literally stop existing for any reason, let alone to try and collect some money, does not exist, has never existed and will never exist
grow up
