Is Aus tech market cooked?
>>109248149aus tech is something nonexistentbut if we talk about banks, government, insurances and other local business that need some backend, frontend, mobile apps - all of these are fucked up by jeets.
>>109248149It's pretty service focused and seems to have a high correlation with tasks and tools that AI have the easiest time replacing. So I would say the incumbents are fairly fucked.Australia is also a shitty place for startups so I don't see much potential for new players either
>>109248149Australia has a tech market?
I remember reading somewhere I dont know if it's true but I think the pseudo-criminal DNA of white Australians makes it hard to maintain corporate structures and therefore makes the development of software really difficult, most of the Australian tech is from Chinese who live there but all the top talent Chinese devs go to Silicon Valley instead so it's kinda second rate in all regards over there...... Australia would likely have to do something like build its own AI to have a fighting chance in this new reality
>>109248335it has nothing to do with criminality, it's just a very small country population wise isolated geographically from the main culture they adhere to
>>109248335Or maybe it's because they are in the middle of fucking nowhere in a weird timezone.
>>109248149What tech market?
>>109248335They are building their own LLM called Matilda. The problem is I’m really concerned it’s a scam. I won’t give details because I’m not sure how without a self dox but the team is weird as fuck, not in a good way, and only one of them seemed in any way switched on. You don’t have to believe me but look at Maincode’s site and just look at the amount of buzzwords used and the way of using a lot of words to say nothing and then consider what a bad sign it is if most of their actual team (especially the higher up people) talk like that with full seriousness irl.I don’t mean to shit on anyone personally with this post but it’s an extremely weird looking startup funded by gambling money and you have to wonder what the fuck they’re even doing.
>>109248149According to regulars over in >>>/sci/scg the tech market in general and tech employment marked in particular were never good to begin with.
>>109248149it's fine but shit pay compared to US
>>109248335Silence, dalit.
I work for a med tech consultancy in Aus, and yea most of our clients are US/EUR based D:
>>109248149>Aus>Tech marketI thought it was all just coal mining for China, housing for Indians and opal prospectors for American tv?
>>109250124That and real estate pyramid schemes for the Australian boomer to absolutely flay the youth
>>109248149All tech market is fucked globally
>>109251282We're still winning over in the States.
>>109248335Decent bait.
