basic settings i use for a 5090 on ai toolkit is krea2 raw fp8, text encoder fp8, 1024res, rank 64, adamW, LR 0.0001 and 5000 steps. The captioning process is always the hardest part and thee most dreadful aspect to the lora training because of how precise captioning has to be for certain subjects with specific aspects to them. High resolution sharp images with 1.5MP-3MP is highly recommended. some loras like lunafreya (young version) was a absolute pain in the ass because of how very small authentic dataset of her from ffxv was. Made synthetic images of her with a matched visual style of "videogame graphics and video game render graphics", using gpt 2 image on 4k high quality settings (sorry for saas cucking). gpt image 2 and grok imagine pro are also very useful for making character panel images which could be used for lora training.
